Can someone remind me what relation Freda is to Emily. I must have been away when she first appeared, and so I've been a bit mystified as to who she is.
Also, and someone can probably put me right on this, but it seemed odd that she was using sign language whilst speaking to non-deaf people who presumably don't understand it. Do deaf people really do that?
if freda is ernest's neice and spider is emily's nephew why has emily never mentioned any of her's or ernest's siblings?
You really like to get bogged down in the detail don't you ?
The way of the soap usually is not to mention characters unless they appear on screen as and when convenient to the producer. Hence, the current Baldwin flock, how often were they mentioned previously ?
CORONATION Street is to become the setting for a new ITV game show - The Rovers Return Pub Quiz.
Stars from the ITV1 soap will take part in the live late night quiz beginning on ITV1 and ITV2 from May and viewers can text or phone in answers to questions.
Filmed on a mock-up of the original Rovers Return set it is one of the main programmes featured on new digital channel ITV Play.
An ITV spokeswoman said: "We are close to choosing the host and it will feature several Corrie stars.
"It will be just like a pub quiz held in the Rovers and we hope it will appeal to Corrie fans who can win big cash prizes by texting or phoning with the right answers."
According to today's Daily Mirror Brian Dowling will be the presenter of the Corrie strand within ITV Play.
Let's give this project a chance before we condemn it! It seems that ITV have realised that there isn't much longevity with just one person sat in a small studio with a quiz on screen and a bored presenter sat staring begging for people to call.

Never mentioned until Danny arrived in 2004. Infact when Mike's father Frankie was in the show in the early 1980s it was mentioned that Mike was an only child so this wasnt just a case of bringing in relatives who were not mentioned before, but also rewriting history. However Danny and Frankie are such great characters I suppose we can overlook that. Its the same with Adam Barlow too- Susan had an abortion in 1987 so he shouldnt really exist!
As for Emily's family - well its been mentioned that Emily had at least 1 brother and 2 sisters. One of her sisters was at Ernie and Emily's wedding, and at Ernie's funeral - she was the exact opposite of Emily. I understand that Freda is from Ernie's side of the family though, as has already been mentioned.
Didn't Mark age a couple of years when he returned to? Something Sophie Webster has now also done!
Yes he did, they changed his date of birth from May 1983 to May 1981. This was done back in 1992 so that he would be old enough to go to Weatherfield Comp and his mum would meet and have an affair with Ken.
Sophie was born in Nov 1994 so should be 11 now on screen, ive no idea how old they are saying she is though.
sophie was made a year older so that she would start at weatherfield comp last september instead of this september, so she's in year 7 when technically she should be in year 6
i think the rovers pub quiz is a good idea and will also utilise the mock up rovers set for more than just somewhere for gmtv or this morning to interview corrie stars when they go behind the scenes
