I remember lillian barring noris as well, i also remember a bit of an issue over noris wearing his commonwealth games uniform in public because apparently you weren't allowed to

onto last night's episode, there is no way mat ramsden would have been able to sit outside josh's nursery all day with full view of the children playing outside

nurseries have to have enclosed play areas for the security of the children otherwise ofsted would be round to have a few words

I remember Lillian Spencer, she was very much like Annie Walker as other people have pointed out. Annie was great too especially when she had one of her lady muck days (which was more often than not) and used to annoy Bet, Betty and Hilda.

As for who should take over the Rovers well I would have said Bev but she is leaving as well. Maybe someone Liz? As long as they dont bring Bet Lynch back I dont mind!

As I said before I'd prefer a new couple or family to come in and take over.

The only person on the Street I'd like to see get it is Frankie. Liz is too obvious, while the suggestion that Sean would become Landlord is ridiculous.

A bit of an odd episode last night with Janice's tearful exit. It would have made more sense I suppose if we didn't know she was coming back in a few weeks.

Sally punching Jan square in the face though was just fab. I especially loved the fact it was a proper punch, not just a girly slap. Brilliant stuff! Very Happy

I thought the week of episodes featuring Janices fall from grace was really well done. Still managing to raise a smile at the end when she broke the head off her only prized possession, and of course it being Janice, she couldn't exit in a taxi, but on a Weatherfield Wayfarer bus.

There's been some good episodes, Corrie seems to be back on top form again.

That was a great exit for Janice last night - and I loved the way she told Cilla about her and Les in the Rovers.

However I think it would have been far better if she was leaving permanently, the ending seemed so final but that was because it was probabaly written before they decided to keep her.

I agree Corrie is on top form, I cant wait to see Sally lose it completely on Monday.

i like the way sally hit janice as well, of course what janice doesn't know is sally was brought up on the same side of the tracks as her but has managed to pull herself up to a level where janice thinks she is a snob.

it will be interesting to see next week how she looses it, also thought sophie was good to, subtly reminding her mum how many children she had

is it me or has sophie suddenly got very tall, she'll be bigger than rosie soon.

i liked janice's double exit where she went round the same corner twice, she got on the bus which was seen driving round the corner from a high vantage point, the scene then cuts to her inside the bus and it's leaving the bus stop and driving round the corner (again)

i also like the fact nobody seems to pay any bus fare on that not very well disguised stagecoach bus.

I pointed out that as well - she just got on the bus without paying. And the bus waited ages for her to get on while she was saying goodbye to Fiz - in the real world the bus would drive off and not wait.

Hi all,

I'm doing a 2nd year university research project Coronation Street and the audience relationship with the show. I hope some of you won't mind helping me out in answering a few questions. It would be extremely appreciated. So these are the questions:

1. Which age group do you belong to?
5-15 ; 16-21 ; 22-35 ; 36-59 ; 60+

2. Please describe your cultural background in a sentence or two.

3. Do you watch Coronation Street regularly?

4. Can you summarise what the programme is about (in a paragraph or two)?

Thank you so much in advance,
Mandi

Oooh how fab, loved Sally cracking up and losing it in the car, thought the moors served as a great backdrop.

The car chase felt a bit Thelma & Louise Laughing

You know, I've avoided this programme for quite a while now and feel a lot better being without it. But tonight I looked in to see what Sally is doing on the Moors at 90 miles per hour. Two observations of incredibility then. One, Kevin was supposed to be right behind them.
So why, in part one, did he not appear as soon as Sally brought the vehicle to a halt? and two, Kelly and her new found friend were in the Rovers chatting then we are shown the next scene in Roys Rolls where they continue their conversation. Has the producer given up on getting the continuity right then nowdays?

Mandi, this isn't the place to bring your home work. I certainly don't want to see this long running thread being disrupted by endless questionaires.

Perhaps you could publish your email address so that any interested parties can contact you off the board?
