Diggory has been axed yes, whether we will see him in it again before he officially leaves I dont know, but I hope not.

Yes Steve Frost has been excellent so far and is getting rid of the right people apart from Bev who I think should be the landlady of the Rovers when Shelly leaves. I also hope the rumours that Bradley Walsh is quitting arent true, they should offer him more money to make him stay. Ive yet to see Granada confirm or deny the story that he is quitting though.

Corrie is on top form IMO and hopefully with Steve Frost as producer it will get better and better this year.

What do people think should be done with the Rovers then once Shelly and Fred leave?

Hopefully whoever comes in will give it the revamp it desperately requires. I noticed in the paper the other day they were talking about the smoking ban and how the Rovers might introduce an outdoor smoking area. Where you have to ask - on the road?

The only person on the street I'd like to be landlady is Frankie (who'd buy the pub after a generous settlement from divorcing Danny) - but I think I'd rather see a much needed new family bought in too take over.

It be good to see the Rovers closed for a bit too while it's revamped - and of course some controversial changes (like sacking Betty!). It would force the writers to think more about scenes rather than setting every filler scene in the pub!

I agree that Bev would have been good as landlady, let's start a campaign to reinstate Susie Blake! (After all they have Viky Entwhistle)

Maybe someone could start another online petition! Wink

Id rather save Bradley Walsh though but rumour has it he wants to go so there would be no point.

From yesterdays Mirror

BRAD'S GLAD TO CORRIE ON AS DANNY

CORRIE heart-throb Bradley Walsh is to sign a golden handcuffs deal to keep him in the Street.

Bradley, 45, has proved a massive hit with viewers since he joined the soap as Cockney Casanova Danny Baldwin two years ago.

Now TV bosses have offered him the six-figure sum on top of his £150,000 a year salary in a bid to stop him leaving Weatherfield.

An insider revealed: "Telly execs know he has become a huge hit and want him to become one of The Street's really big guns."

Earlier this month the former Wheel of Fortune presenter was approached by ITV bosses to take on Paul O'Grady's vacant afternoon chat show slot - spurring Corrie bosses into pulling out all the stops to keep him in Weatherfield

"Heart-throb Bradley Walsh..."

You what ???

Anyway - Danny just came out with a great line, which I fully expect to see on Harry Hill's programme on Saturday: he said, to the knicker-stitchers, pair of newly-stitched knickers in hand:

"Your work's still pants."

Inspired, I say: inspired.

I think Bradley Walsh proved his worth to Corrie tonight, brilliant performance and some great lines.

That was a hell of a slap Sally gave Janice. Shocked

I take it this storyline was meant to be Janice's exit, as she's leaving the street at the end of the week. I take it she'll be back though as I read the character was given a reprieve by the new producer.

You see we always agree on the important stuff.

Great show tonight. Janice spanned the chasm of being a genuinely sympathetic character to the "poisoned" one at the end. Great stuff from Bradly Walsh.

Was it just me, or was there a definate twinkle between he and Sally tonight? Or have they done that story already?
