Im gutted about this. I must admit I had my reservations when it was first annouced he was joining Corrie but Danny is one of my favourite characters and definately the best character introduced in he last few years.
I see from tonight's episode that the sign outside The Kabin now says "The Kabin" again, rather than the pointless and hardly ever seen "Post Office".
I noticed it had changed back to The Kabin a while ago. It should never have been changed to a Post Office sign in the first place, only proper post offices have big signs like that, small ones which are within a shop or supermaket dont. And why do we never see the post office side of it anyway. It was pointless I agree.
That scene with Reet and Emily was good and that line "men lusted after me and ive had more of them than yer've had hot dinners"
Never A Truer Word Spoken!
Lippy at the websters was good, a shame we didnt see Gail's reaction to the state of her wall and front garden.

It's still in Post Office green though rather than the classic yellow they had for many years.
Some good scenes tonight with Rita moving into Emily's and Lippy kicking off round at the Websters.
The sign changed back to "The Kabin" quite a few weeks ago, it was around the time when Norris put his and Rita's names up on the sign.
I was a bit suprised how the crash was filmed - it seemed to happen very quickly - the whole thing was about 15 seconds - with Leanne and Janice driving up Viaduct Street (a Newton and Ridley brewery lorry was placed further up the road for some reason), Janice saying "Yer goin' into the waaal" and a sudden crash. I couldn't help but laughing at Leanne's face as she 'winced', though!

I know of at least three post offices near me which are predominantly shop with a small post office counter and have the same, official Post Office signage. I personally thought it added a nice bit of reality to the street. I wonder however if there was a product placement issue in having such a large Post Office sign. Notice there are also no BT logos on the phonebox at the end of the street, presumably for the same reason.

the lorry was there to hide the fact that viaduct street doesn't go any where and the viaduct would in reality go through the museum / brewery building .
they use that big lorry a lot for scenes on viaduct street to hide both the museum and the studio buildings on either side of it. they did that a lot in 1990 when jim mcdonald had his bike shop in the viaduct arch
Well Channel 9 Perth showing Corrie at 5.30pm as it's lead in for National Nine News has been a complete and utter failure, ratings were under 20,000 compared to Deal or No Deal on 7 Perth (rating were 130,000). 7 News is still the top rating bulletin in Perth with ratings over 230,000 compared to National Nine News' 76,000!
ABC News comes second with 160,000 viewers and TEN News with about 140,000.

I know it was placed there for that reason - speaking of Viaduct Street, when was that big green/yellow front placed on the arch (second left from Turner's Joinery)?
it's been there for a few years now and appears on the commercial break still of dev's shop, this archway allows street access from the studios behind it
noticed webaviation web site has some new photos of the street set taken last summer
did anybody else see in Fridays episode kelly having heat proof hands. when Lloyd gave her a drink in the taxi office she just held the cup without the handle whilst talking to her friend
i think the pair of them used to be prostitutes or something which is why kelly want shut of her.
I have to say I quite like Kelly in this storyline.
There was a letter in one of the tv guides saying Corrie shouldnt have resorted to the "ridiculous trick" of bringing back "Hillman". I kind of agree with this, it should be left in the past, but I hear that Gail will be getting another card from "Hillman" on the anniversary of his death
