Now Emily and Rita have both had brilliant storylines , id like to see Betty also have a storyline, her grandson should be about 20 now so they could possibly write him into it for a storyline.

It's coming, The Rovers Return is about to tackle the smoking in pubs debate. It'll have to decide whether it is going to be a smoking or food hostilery which could see the disappearance of Betty's hot pot.

All of Betty's major storylines seem to revolve around hot pot or her cat. Rolling Eyes

I surely can't be alone in my loathing for the current Dev and his daughter storyline. His daughter is a very nauseating character.

She's growing on me - the Trisha line last night was genious!

The Charlie and Tracy storyline is working really well, putting them both centre stage after months in the wings.

As for this Moors thing - it's The Sun exploiting the location, not Corrie! I doubt it'll be anything more than random country lane on Corrie!

I noticed earlier than him who played Warren Baldwin has got a new job. He was in Kerching on CBBC One.

He still seemed to have the same incoherant voice!

Which of course is all redundant now that smoking is to be banned in all pubs and clubs whether food is served or not. Laughing

Or retiring/getting fired from the Rovers and then (delete as appropriate) Annie/Bet/Fred beg her to come back.

I quite like Amber, she makes me laugh sometimes. Terrible actress IMO but she carry it off.

Been away for a few days, but just thought I'd say Emily's recent scenes have been excellent.

I was also amused the other day to hear Norris referring to Rita's flat as Fort Knox. Presumably we're talking Fort Barbara Knox?

I'll get me coat.

The emily storyline is brilliant, well written, I like Dev's daughter she's cheeky and funny at the same time, what was Tracy thinking, I could tell Charlie was gonna do that Stupid women, poor Amy. Sad

Not a huge fan of Emily or Eileen Derbyshire I have to say, but she was excellent.

Tonight we get this scene;

"Rita (Barbara Knox) and Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) listen sympathetically to Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) who is still in shock following Ed's revelation."

In other news, its been confirmed that Paul Fox will return as Mark Redman for 4 episodes next month. Its also been confirmed that Pauline Fleming will return as Penny King in a few weeks, when she discovers Mike hasnt returned from Spain and no-one has heard from him, concern starts to grow.
