I'm not surprised, poor woman! Laughing Now, Jeremy, why did you have your DigitalSpy account deleted?

Regarding Barbara's performance, I felt it was very good in terms of acting, but the scenes were too short and I thought it could have been executed more - smoothly. It didn't seem to flow properly. Reminded me of the Richard Hillman storyline with them all outside the garage with the crowbar, hearing the noise inside.

She was OK but he was awful. Where are they getting these actors from?

There's an article in the 'Sun' today in which the producer names 4 of 6 characters who have been axed. They are.. Bev, Ronnie, Diggory and that black mechanic. He says he's getting rid of them because he's trying to rid the show of people who aren't connected to other characters. Shelly & Fred have apparently quit - hence Bev's axing. he also says 2 other "biggish" stars have been axed..but they'll be named at a later date.

Assuming this is true (and I've lost count of the number of false stories in The Sun of Corrie characters being axed over the years), I'd be delighted to see Ronnie and Diggory go. Nathan doesn't really offend me, simply because he's a bit bland, and in that respect is a bit pointless and so yes, probably should go too.

As for Bev, I've never made my mind up about her. Knowing what an excellent comic actress Susie Blake is, I was originally excited to hear that she was joining Corrie, but I don't think the character really does her justice. I know Jez and others here are big fans, but there's just something about her which I find a bit irritating. I suppose it's partly due to her storylines regularly involving her throwing herself at anything in trousers which makes her a bit of a poor man's Liz Macdonald.

Yet another list of characters being axed. The other list (the one that had Sunita and Janice on) has only just taken place, and in the case of Janice, she was kept anyway!

Hasn't Diggory already gone anyway, I'm sure he hasn't been on this year. Since that intital storyline with Liz working there.

Who is that new character who keeps bumping into David?

LOL! Well if she had replied the first time I wouldnt have needed to have written another 3 times. Now ive got her autograph I wont write again. She is so inconsistent when it comes to replying to fan mail, apparently she replied to every letter she got during the Alan Bradley storyline and she got 100s of letters back then. These days she is a hard one to get, I know of someone who said they wrote to her 10 times and got nothing. At least Barbara personalises her replies though, which many of the cast do not. Some im sure sign a load of cards and then get a secretary at Granada to send them to people who have written (ive noticed quite a few replies ive had have had the same handwriting on the envelopes) so you cant always gurantee they even read the letters. The best repliers are Bill Roache, Betty Driver, Susie Blake and in particular Sue Nicholls. Sue sends everyone a handwritten letter back as well as a card. Fastest repliers are Bill Roach and Betty Driver - Bill took 4 days.

So far ive got;

Sue Nicholls (Audrey) - personalised signed photo and handwritten letter
Susie Blake (Bev) - personalised signed photo and a handwritten note on a complements slip
William Roache (Ken) - personalised signed photo with a note on back
Jean Alexander - (Hilda Ogden) - personalised signed photo
Betty Driver (Betty) - Personalised signed photo
Pauline Fleming (Penny King) - personalised signed photo
Barbara Knox (Rita) - personlised signed photo
Johnny Briggs (Mike) - personalised signed photo
Wendi Peters (Cilla) - personalised signed photo
Also signed photo's from Kate Ford (Tracy), Sally Whittaker (Sally), Anne Kirkbride (Deirdre), Debra Stephenson (Frankie), Bradley Walsh (Danny), Helen Worth (Gail), Shobna Gulati (Sunita), Maggie Jones (Blanche), Bev Callard (Liz), Simon Gregson (Steve)

All were written via Granada apart from Jean Alexander which was an agent. Most replied the first time I wrote, but I had to write to Shobna twice. Ive also written to Jenny Platt (Violet) twice and got nothing, and Lynne Pearson (Carol) once but she might not reply as she has left by the looks of it.

Id be happy to see Diggory (can he take Molly too?) and Nathan go. I dont know about anyone else but I was cringing the other night when Nathan and Frankie were flirting.

I know what you mean about Bev, I didnt like the way she used to throw herself at men but she was deeply unhappy which was why she did it. Since she came back after a while away she was brilliant and I really got to like the character. In many ways she saved the Charlie and Shelly storyline, it could have been a lot worst if it hadnt have been for her.

i dont think Diggory has been in it this year either. He must be one of those part time cast that appear when they want, like Penny King and the twins. Speaking of which, I think Jessie was on the last axe list with Sunita and Janice, so she has gone now.

I'm sure I saw somewhere that the actor who plays Diggory does panto dames, so that's why he's not appeared recently maybe? I hope he never comes back though, not even for an exit storyline.

I think Susie Blake is under-used too - but then so are many of the other cast members, although this seems to have balanced out in the last 6 months now the obsession with Tracy/Steve dominated storys has passed.

I'd like to see Cilla's oldest son come back, but with the actor recast as a sexier, edgier bad lad in the Terry Duckworth mould.

I also find Sarah Platt is over used.

I heard that they were keen to bring Richard Hillman back from the dead but new producer Steve Frost put his foot down and said it was going too far - thank god Steve is the producer as I can only imagine how awful and unrealistic that would have been.

We need some sexy men in Corrie - the likes of Jason, Adam and Jamie are ok but they all fall into the 18-25 age group and we need someone a little older, like 26-35.

The cast is far too large at the moment; I'm glad Steve Frost is axing people, especially useless characters like Diggory. Next for the chop, Molly please.

I agree, ridiculous character, she needs to leave and she can take that awful Tyrone with her. I am absolutely cringing at the prospect of watching tomorrow night's episode. I might give it a miss as it looks like panto at its best. Yes, Corrie is turning a corner with the recent storylines, but we don't need episodes like the one we'll see tomorrow.

I don't suppose any chance of Ollie Reynolds paying a visit to Grandad Len in Emmerdale at some point is there? (Wasn't she at uni ?)

(For those of you that have forgotten, Vicky 'Molly Crompton' Binns used to play Ollie !)
