Again though, how badly predictable and overdone was Rita's break in last night. I think they overdid it with the door smashed and hanging off its hinges. I'd like to think burglars were more subtle these days.

Rita was on top form in the 2nd episode tonight, "I put my neck on the line for you, lady". Those scenes with Emily in the flat were good as well. And im glad Fred wasnt stupid enough to agree to Stacey's suggestion at the end.
That reporter who Maria went out with quite good looking, however he seems a bit wet. I wonder who that woman was moving into the flat above the bookies and will she be a regular character?
The girls night out was good.

Reminds me of the time when Mavis won a second honeymoon in a competition when she never had a first honeymoon and it was all over the papers because she spoke to some reporter.

Does anybody else think that reporter had another agenda for taking maria out to dinner? He seemed a bit heavy on the questions. I can see the headline now!

One for Harry Hill indeed.
I hope he brings back his "Fred Elliot does an impression of a sheep in Coronation Street" "Baaahhh"
That Stacey character is becoming a real annoyance. Can she simply not act or is it part of a game plan?

Over in Coronation Street and Rita's solved the burglery mystery:
Policewomen: Have you any idea who could have done this Mrs Sullivan
Rita: Probably Burglars

By the way Coronation Street is on the front of next week's What's On TV. The first time this year (and probably the only time until about May!)
Most of next weeks tv guides have Corrie on the cover, including Whats on TV and for the first time ever TV Easy.
There was also a letter slating the Alzheimers storyline in Whats on TV saying the storyline is misleading.

Or at least heard something in the middle of the day... perhaps someone in the factory, or Tyrone who was apparently working in the garage at the time not 20 yards away, or perhaps Norris who would have been working within the same building !!!
We're seeing way too much of this on Corrie at the moment, when the scriptwriters stretch the believability too far - it's just sloppy writing and rather insulting to the intelligence of the viewers.

the continuity is getting a bit laps lately, bit like brookside did in the dying days of the show by geting mike booms in shot and having michaelson's car turn itself round in the driveway after he was murdered
what i don't get is if somebody was watching rita's flat from outside the harris' house why was he parked the wrong way round and why didn't he follow the taxi considering he was after orchid

You could say that about everything though. Norris would hear and see everything before it's happened!. It's just that thing that happens in soaps, not exactly continuity errors just a plot device.
Wasn't it dark when Rita came back anyway?
