So who is sending the Richard Hillman letters?

It has to be Phil, surely?

It certainly seems likely, with his fascination for serial killers. Perhaps a bit too obvious though. If it is the case, Gail certainly knows how to pick them.

Maybe it's a vengeful Todd.

I think Todd is probably quite happy in London and getting on with life - that's the way it was portrayed in his Christmas 'phone call to Eileen. What's his motive? If David and Phil are too obvious, who else?

Spoiler: I've just read in Digital Spy spoilers that Gail gets a Valentines card from "Richard" too, so that must rule out Todd and Violet?

Another topic here: when did the Monday double episodes start, how many were there that were "special" and when did they become a regular thing?

IIIRC it started in September 2002 and was only meant for 4 weeks to boost the autumn schedule (as the previous autumn ITV screened extra episodes of Corrie on a Thursday night.) And they just carried on showing it from there. They took it off for a few months during the summer of 2003, but since Sept 2003 its been there permanently and there is no sign of it going.

Corrie never officially went 5 times a week (like Emmerdale never officially went to 6 a week) probabaly so they could just take the episode away if it didnt work.

I think its Phil as well, there is something not right with him, either that or David has done it to frame Phil. I dont think David would do it for himself as like he said he doesnt hate Sarah and knows how much she has been through. But he might have done it to frame Phil.

I quite like it that we dont know who it is.

Something about Phil gaves me the creeps, Sad to see sunita go, she was one of the good characters in Corrie. Crying or Very sad Dev looked very desperate, notice how Jimmi's acting was wooden. Confused

Yes, I think it's Phil too. There's something, I agree, faintly creepy and "not right" about him. And anyway, they're unlikely to have him marry Gail and let her be Gail Nail.

Now there's one for Harry Hill!

Funny, though, when you think about it: Gail and Eileen fought for Phil, who's creepy, possibly a bit psychotic - Gail's with him and now Eileen's tentatively with woss-'is-name who did time
for killing Ernest Bishop.
Spooky irony...

You can see "Orchid's" lines written on the pages of the script... dreadful acting. Good to see Rita with a storyline at long last though.

I liked the reference to Alan Bradley in tonights episode when she said she knew what it was like living in fear of a man. Poor Rita though, she has already broken into 4 times including once in the old Kabin on Rosamund Street in 1989 when she thought it was Alan.

Yes I agree, "Orchid" is a dreadful actress, what were they thinking giving her scenes with the best actress on the show!

Again though, how badly predictable and overdone was Rita's break in last night. I think they overdid it with the door smashed and hanging off its hinges. I'd like to think burglars were more subtle these days. Laughing

That black car parked outside Craig and Keith's house gave it away

considering rita and orchid had gone out during the day it was rather odd that the burglar took the trouble to close the curtains and turn the lamps on in preparation for them to return at night to a ransacked living room

another minor laps in continuity perhaps
