id lay money the only reason they give Corrie more covers than the other mags is because Corrie won best soap in their awards 2 years running - its obviously their readers fave soap.

Not because they like it then?

Well they put on the cover storylines and characters that will sell copies.

Umm, well duh.

The point I was indirectly making was that you moan when magazines *don't* put Corrie on the cover, and then suggest its a cynical ploy when they do.

I'm not sure how they could win with you, short of just never putting EastEnders on the cover.

DEIRDRE AT IT AGAIN
By Brian Roberts

CORRIE'S Deirdre Barlow is about to get up to her old adultress tricks again - only to be blackmailed after a one-night stand with a stranger.

Anne Kirkbride's character has her drunken fling on a girls' night out.

Liz McDonald (Bev Callard) then persuades Deirdre not to confess all.

But her louse lover visits the town hall where Deirdre, works and says he'll tell hubby Ken (Bill Roache) unless she OKs a planning application.

A source said: "Anne is thrilled at getting such a great new storyline."

------------

Sounds OK. I just hope Ken and Deirdre wont seperate again over this.

Here we go again, someone in a soap "buying" planning permission. It's absolute boll-ocks. Diedrie is not a qualified Town Planner and would not be in a position to influence very senior officers or the Planning Committee to "swing" a planning consent Evil or Very Mad

Don't tell me Corrie are starting to sniff out continuity errors from EastEnders?

Well considering she has just given birth to twins I daresay it contains sore nipple cream and suppositories.

I may be missing something, but straight after the Rosie storyline ending.. a Sunita goodie bag competition. Hmm.

Yes, should have been a Rosie goodie bag really, containing the pill and a condom ?

I hope this isn't the start of a new trend, character related goody bag competitions. I'll only enter if it's a Rita or Blanche goody bag.

I'm sorry, but you simply won't suit an ill-fitting acrylic shiny wig.

considering goody bags are usually the reserve of toddler's tv i.e a tweenies goody bag i think goody bags of coronation street characters is insulting the intellect a bit

no offence to anybody under the age of five.

i don't know who's sadder the people who thought it up or the people who entered to win one.
