If it had been the other way about, colourwise, there would have been uproar among the asian community and the the makers of Corrie would probably have been taken to court, can you imagine a white actor saying "Black trash" on Corrie? Only today has a man been jailed for emailing racist comments to a local community centre.Whoever wrote that Episode should consider the audience it goes out too¬! only last month Ofcom reported that people found "*******" offence in 2 episodes of Corrie

Good-oh. Now why don't we get back to discussing why Rosie hasn't been publicly flogged?

while we're at it why not flog the script writer's who make characters comment negatively on ginger haired people, fat people, christian people, gay people. straight people, old people, dead people etc.

it is a bit one sided i agree, nobody would dream of name calling a black or asian character in the programme but they can name call us but is it worth two pages of arguing about it?

It wasn't corrie being racist. It was one character using a remark that could be classed as racism and immediately being told that that remark wasn't acceptable

You may remember a few months ago Jimmy Clayton was racist towards Lloyd and Crabby, but because of the situation all viewers could see that that sort of comment wasn't acceptable
