John's absolutely right - many soap youngsters just want to be famous, they don't care about being the best at their craft. Sean Wilson was also treated unfairly. He had legitimate concerns regarding the storyline proposed for Martin which could have put him and his family at risk. The price he paid for sticking up for himself? The bullet.
While actors shouldn't behave like prima donnas, they should be allowed to voice reasonable critical concerns without fear of reprisals. If the bosses' reaction is to throw their toys out of the pram, why should we watch the show?

I agree with a lot of what John Savident says. I also wouldnt say 5 episodes a week is standard. Remember most soaps started off with 2 or 3 episodes a week.
