David has sadly never recovered from the head transplant he had in 2000 which turned him from a quiet little boy who never said boo to a goose (or anybody come to that) to a loud mouthed little yob who thinks the universe owes him a living.
either that or he's just an average hormonally challenged teenager
saying that the lad who plays him is a brilliant actor, just wish the script writers would make him HAPPY, give him a girl friend for goodness sakes
talking of teenagers the rosie and craig story is a nice change, good to see the teen actors put to good use and exercising their acting talents.
I agree with you on the Craig and Rosie goth love storyline, I never even knew David had a head transplant back in 2000.
CORRIE butcher John Savident says the show is AWFUL since bosses decided to show five episodes a week.
The actor, 67, has vowed to quit his role as blustering Fred Elliot this year.
And he blasted Coronation Street producers for ruining the show out of greed.
He said: “Now it’s got to five episodes it’s awful because you can’t maintain the standard.
“All they are interested in are shareholders and viewing figures.
End of the road ... John leaves the Street

“You can’t be interested in quality if you’re doing five episodes.”
He spoke out during a visit to Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.
John, who has spent 11 years in the ITV show, added: “When we heard a rumour they were going to four, people from the office said, ‘No truth in the rumour.’ Then we went to four.
“Then we heard we were going to five. ‘Oh no.’ We went to five.”
But a Corrie episode on February 21 was 2005’s most watched show with 14.35million viewers.
It included Sally Webster’s affair and Tommy Harris’s fury over his daughter’s fling.

I don't mind David. Having to live with Gail and Sarah and their endless line of boyfriends plus with Martin leaving I'm not surprised he's a 'loud mouthed yob'
These actors complain about standards going down with 5 episodes a week of a soap (personally, I think 5 eps is the standard - anymore though is too many) - then go off to the theatre where they'll do shows seven nights a week plus matinees for weeks on end - same stuff every night too!
I agree with a lot of what John Savident says. I also wouldnt say 5 episodes a week is standard. Remember most soaps started off with 2 or 3 episodes a week.

This isn't leading to another 'there's to many episodes there should be less' conversation is it? It must be at least a week since this was discussed.
What did you all think of tonight's episode, with Mike, Danny, Adam and Penny. Or was it Mark and Linda?!
Then of course there was David in a huff again, with good reason.

Well I do think it should be on 3 times a week - but I agree its boring talking about it so I wont go on.
I liked the scenes with the Barlows tonight, they got the balance between sadness and comedy right over Lena's death. 'Tracy Love' also seems to think more about the dog than baby Amy. It was really funny when Ken came in and first thought that 'Tracy Love' and then Deirdre were expecting!
I really liked the scenes with Penny, Adam, Danny and Mike as well - this storyline is really moving on now with him mistaking Penny for Linda. I hope this isnt the last we see of Penny now though.
That was my sarcastic way of saying they changed the actor like they always do on soaps, have a child in from birth with little or no story lines and as soon as they hit the magic ten years they regenerate dr who like into somebody else.
All the child characters who have been in since birth have done that hence we have had
numerous peter and susan barlows
4 tracys
2 nickys
3 sarahs
2 davids
2 rosies
3 sophies
2 joshuas
3 bethanys and
1 amy (so far)
I think this is due to the child characters who are born on any soap being played by babies who may not necessarily want to be actors when they grow up

There have been 2 Amy's so far. Rebecca Pike and currently Louisa Morris. There have been 3 Sarah's but the first 2 were twins Leah and Lyndsay King. Leah only played her for a short while as a baby before she sadly died then Lynday took over until Tina O Brien. I understand that Bethany is currently played by twins.
Tracy has been played by Christabel Finch (1977-1984), Holly Charmarette (1985-1988), Dawn Acton (1988-1999) and Kate Ford (2002-present).
Susan Barlow has been played by 4 actresses, however Wendy Jane Walker played her for a time in the early 70s, then Susi Patterson (the Scottish one) took over when Susan came to visit Ken in 1979 and again for Ken and Deirdre's wedding in 1981. But then Wendy Jane Walker played her again in 1985-1987. I thought Wendy Jane Walker was a terrible actress though, I much preferred the scottish one.
Peter still holds the record though - I think 7 actors have played him.

Wasn't Amy played by twins at first too? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
There's been 2 Adams too, even though we've not seen him from birth.
Are we likely to see Mark during the Mike storyline, it would be good to get them all together. Cilla's son should come back too, his appearance was all too brief - although he wasn't how I imagined he'd be.
WILL the rover return? Scriptwriter Darran Little.THE brainchild behind the first gay kiss in Coronation Street’s history is about to leave the popular ITV soap – to write scripts for a Hollyoaks spin-off.
Darran Little, 39, caused a huge stir when he wrote the script for THAT kiss between Todd Grimshaw and Nick Tilsley in 2003.
And now he’s caused an even bigger sensation by leaving ‘the nation’s favourite soap’ to join the team behind Hollyoaks Let Loose, a Mersey TV production shown on digital channel E4.
Darran, who lives in the trendy Beech Road area of Chorlton, said: "I just want to spread my wings a bit. I’ve had 18 years at Coronation Street; it’s all I’ve ever done. However, it’s not necessarily the end – Granada have told me I can return whenever I want."
Hollyoaks Let Loose, which is shown post-watershed once a week, is a slightly more risque version of the long-running Channel 4 soap.
But following the gay-kiss furore Darran, a city magistrate, can judge better than most where the lines need to be drawn between sensationalist TV and driving up viewing figures – and he refuses point blank to rule out a return to the Weatherfield set.
"I’ll be writing scripts on screen until April and then I’ll take a break," he said. "This is a new challenge."
A few years ago Darran was caught up in the maelstrom surrounding the controversial gay kiss between Todd, played by Bruno Langley, and Adam Rickett’s character Nick Tilsley. It was arguably the most infamous embrace in TV soap history and the first time that Coronation Street had shown an openly homosexual scene since it was first broadcast 45 years ago.
Up to 21 complaints were registered with the Independent Television Commission (ITC) but they were all rejected.
