Let's hope that he saves Sunita too - and gets rid of Dev and his daughter instead. I'd rather watch Sunita cope with twins than Dev with that gobby teenager who's too full of "attitude".
Id have preferred him to have saved Sunita rather than Janice. It wont happen though as Shobna has already filmed her final scenes.
Another good episode tonight, looks like Tracy has got away with leaving Amy on her own for now. Everyone in the Rovers seeing in the New Year was great and we got Auld Lang Syne as usual. Sally finding out about Craig and Rosie was really well done as well.
Well thats it for 2005, lets hope 2006 will be a good year for Corrie.
Did Sally say "f*cked the little....." when she saw Rosie's dress on the sofa? Or was it just me?

What is everyone's high and low points of Corrie 2005?
For me the best storylines/episodes included;
The Sally and Ian affair
Katy killing her dad, Angela covering for her and going to prison, and Katy killing herself
Ray Langton coming back
Ken and Deirdre's wedding
The Danny and Leanne affair
Carol Baldwin's battle with alcoholism
Sarah stealing Jason from Violet (it was a good storyline even if Sarah is a slapper)
And the worst
Shelly and Charlie storyline
Scooter and the fish (what the hell was that?!!)
Gail and Phil
but by far the worst was Cilla and Les's wedding.
Who have been the best new characters of 2005? For me most of the new arrivals have been a huge disappointment. Carol Baldwin is one new character I like. And I liked Zack as well. I cant stand Diggory, Molly, Nathan. Keith has got better as has Adam Barlow.
And of course 2005 saw the departures of several regular characters including Tommy, Katy , Angela, Ciaran, Warren, Candice and Martin and the return of Ray Langton after 27 years and Penny King after a 6 month absence!
Sally in particular was brilliant especially when she had a go at Audrey, "Sarah had a baby at 12" and Audrey replied "13 actually". I was a bit surprised to hear Sally have such a go at the Platts considering she is one of Gail's best friends. That scene where Rosie shouted at Sally that she hated her was very well done as well. Kevin is also really amusing to watch when he loses his temper!
Carol and Jamie arguing in the street was good.
Danny and Leanne having dinner at the Battersby's was good - it would have been better if they had had a row though!
That scene with Blanche and Deirdre was good and quite moving. Especially when she said "dont tell anyone, especially Ken, not until im gone" Its good that they have given Blanche something other than comedy to do, however I think she is brilliant at comedy.
The stuff with Liz and her boyfriend was boring though, I didnt see the point in him.
There was also that business with Jack and Vera and that strange women. Vera dragging Jack out of the Rovers for the first time this year!
Thinking about the Craig and Rosie storyline, imagine if Tommy Harris wasn't dead. It'd be him going round banging on Kevin and Sally's door and punching about 3 people, rather than the other way round
It always annoys me the plots of most soaps are given away in the three line summary within the TV guides, but you'd think Corrie could at least summarise their Monday double bills by not revealing the cliffhanger to the 7.30pm episode in the blurb for the 8.30pm episode.
Typhical example for tonight:
7.30 - Mike proposes to Penny
8.30 - Mike asks Penny to leave!

I was thinking that. I bet Tommy and Kevin would have had a fight in the street, both of them are known for punching someone first asking questions later.

Even more annoying are the previews on the ITV website before the episode. I looked at one the other night and it more of less gives a scene by scene description of what happens, plus pictures. I wont be looking at them again before I watch the episode, neither do I read the spoilers in great detail before the episodes either as I like the occasional surprise.

That was really excellent tonight. Johnny Briggs and Pauline Fleming were brilliant in that final scene. Poor Penny, I do feel sorry for her.
I think Sally was out of order speaking to Hayley like that, it was quite uncalled for. I just knew Gail would poke her nose in about the current situation as well.
Reet and Emily tipsy in the Rovers was funny. I think Reet fancies this Ed bloke Was it just me or did he recognise Mike when Emily introduced him?
Oh god I hope we are not going to get a storyline between Violet and Sean where they try for a baby. Can they not come up with something else for a gay character in soaps apart from one night stands and having babies with their fag hags.
Oh dear! Are we going to have another year with you posting in this thread every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evening, saying "Great episode tonight".

If you were a regular reader of this thread you would know I dont always say its an excellent/great episode. Infact ive slated the show more in the past year that ever when they had some very poor episodes.
