I notice the 9.25am repeats of Emmerdale and Corrie return to ITV2 next week.

I just wish with regard to Corrie ITV2 could adjust their daytime repeats so you can catch the last episode before the next one airs.

I think its not possible to do that due to the way its broadcast on ITV1. The only way they can do it is like this, if they want it to be repeated in a Mon-Fri slot.

Friday's repeated on Monday
Sunday's repeated on Tuesday
Monday (1) repeated on Wed
Monday (2) repeated on Thurs
Wed repeated on Friday

The only alternative would be;

Sunday's repeated Monday
Monday (1) repeated Tuesday
Monday (2) repeated Wed
Wed repeated Thursday or Friday

And then there wouldnt be anywhere for Friday's to be repeated before the next episode, unless they put it Saturday or Sunday but we get the omnibus editions then anyway!

Simply I'd have two episodes on Monday (Fri/Sun), (you can also catch Fri's ep in the omnibus at the weekend), two on Wednesday (Mondays) and one on Friday (Wed).

Repeats of The Bill could occupy the slot on Tuesday/Thursday.

Well we all know that Mike Baldwin is leaving, but what will happen to Penny? She is the only one who seems to show genuine concern for what is happening to Mike and actually care about him. Danny, Leanne and Adam are just in it for what they can get and so would Linda and Mark if they were around. Id like to see her become the 5th Mrs Baldwin before Mike goes, and then he could leave her the factory. It would be a shame to lose her as a character just because Mike is leaving.

Yes - I agree. And I didn't like her at first, as I saw her as another gold-digger, wanting simply to merge their businesses. Hmm.

I wasnt sure what to make of her at first. It didnt help that they gave her bugger all to do and then she disappeared for 6 months only returning for Ken and Deirdre's wedding last April. Id like to see her get a storyline of her own when Mike goes.

I liked her scenes with Leanne on Christmas Day when Leanne said they had lots in common because they had older boyfriends.

I thought the Keiran/Penny business partnership was odd - and too short-lived; it was as if the writers changed their minds about Keiran's restaurant and axed the idea before they'd really taken it anywhere.

I hope Mike leaves the lot to Jamie - they seem to be getting closer at the moment. Not sure what Jamie will do with it all though!

According to today's Sun, Janice is no longer leaving Corrie...

CORRIE star Vicky Entwistle has won her job back — three months after being SACKED.
The Street’s gobby Janice Battersby was axed in September by former boss Tony “Chopper” Wood.

But new producer Steve Frost has given the 37-year-old actress an 11th-hour reprieve.

An interesting move, as I never thought Janice was a character who needed to be axed. Perhaps he could get rid of a few others instead.

Very interesting. Im not sure if thats good news or not really. I dont mind Janice but wasnt bothered when it was said she was leaving.

Likewise, I don't mind Janice. As a character she seemed to have more 'purpose' when she was with Les. At the moment she's a bit of a spare part and could probably do with a fella, although I think she's at her best in the factory where I think she'd be missed most if she had gone.

Let's hope that he saves Sunita too - and gets rid of Dev and his daughter instead. I'd rather watch Sunita cope with twins than Dev with that gobby teenager who's too full of "attitude".

Id have preferred him to have saved Sunita rather than Janice. It wont happen though as Shobna has already filmed her final scenes.

Another good episode tonight, looks like Tracy has got away with leaving Amy on her own for now. Everyone in the Rovers seeing in the New Year was great and we got Auld Lang Syne as usual. Sally finding out about Craig and Rosie was really well done as well.

Well thats it for 2005, lets hope 2006 will be a good year for Corrie.

I'd much rather see Sunita saved as well - Janice really doesn't have a purpose now. A good storyline though could see them bring back Cilla's other son and pair them up so Cilla becomes the mother-in-law from hell!

As for the factory - I'd like to see it go completely actually and see something new on the Street.
