First time I have seen all of the episodes like that, but very well done indeed. Though if did feel like there was something missing, as it just cut from one scene and then to the Doctor saying "We're sorry...." Poor Des, can't wait for the funeral episodes.
Though as it is 1993 there should be a load of new characters coming into it as the Grimes' are supposed to be, which will be good, as is the other barmaid who rivals Raquel.

Todays Granada Plus episode was so sad, especially when the doctor called Des in and told him that Lisa had died.

Tanya is the barmaid who arrives to rival Raquel. She comes into it later in 1993 I think.
Maud and Maureen arrive in the show around Spring 1993
Carmel the nanny from hell comes back soon too which should make for some good episodes!

Funny because 1993 was the year I first really got into Corrie. Reg Holdsworth and the Betterbuys era..

I thought it was going to be more of a boxing match, but it was nothing great, not too great overall tonight.
It's been far better on Granada Plus this week, it has been so sad and it really makes you want to hit Vera Duckworth for some reason.
Though I thought it was funny the other day when Geoff Horten says that he will get the child.
How wrong we all were at the time eh?

Well I didn't read any of the spoilers or press releases so I thought the fight was as good as expected!
I liked the way how each of the women were trying to out 'Lady' each other "Hey Lady!", "Don't you Lady me!"
Meanwhile this whole Shelley becomes useless behind the bar seems to have appeared from nowhere really quickly, this time a fortnight ago she seemed the ideal landlady, now it seems profits are down and customers are kept waiting as Shelley chats to one customer. A plot device shoehorned in if ever I saw one.

I agree. A flip-flop of plotline Louise Berridge would be proud of.

The whole Charlie/Shelly thing is boring
Anyway, I thought Pop Idol and Corrie fans would be interested in this news
Pop Idol finalist could have part in Corrie
Roxanne Cooper, a finalist in the last series of Pop Idol, has been approached about taking a part in Coronation Street. The 17-year-old from Hull has been approached, but no part has so far been finalised for her.
Cooper reached the last five in Pop Idol and is still pursuing her dream of being a pop star, says The Sun. She's moving to London to share a flat with winner Michelle McManus. Roxanne said: "We get on really well. I hope to have a single out in September."
