Not a bad episode tonight.

Great to see Carol Baldwin back, she looks well too.

Was it just me or did that bloke in the cafe look like Charlie Stubbs?

Im bored of Sarah though.

Agreed, the bloke in the cafe did look a lot like Charlie.

The 'old' photo of Dev really made me laugh too with that moustache. I thought it made him look very 'Jason King'.

Good episodes last night. It's such a shame that Sunita's going rather than Dev. Has anyone ever really liked him?

Also, just thinking about the spoiler relating to Janice's departure. I wonder if we might see Toyah back for a few episodes. It'd be a bit of a poor show if she didn't turn up for her own mother's funeral... plus it sounds like there'll be a matter of inheritance to sort out too - which Leanne will no doubt want a share of too.

I'm not even going to bother watching it this week,The story with Dev and Sunita is so unbelievably out of the blue, he hasn't shown any signs of having an affair (let alone having several). It's as though the writers thought "what happy marriage can we split up next?" then drew the names from a hat. Uncecessary and quite frankly boring.

Yes they should get rid of Jimmi and keep Shobna - she is a fantastic actress.

They shouldn't get rid of neither in my opinion. Although Dev's acting is a bit odd, I do find it humerous the way he talks in that monotone voice

So, what do you all think of Joanne and Jessie now, did you like that little funny scene where Jessie was selling trainers out of a holdall to Sally?

I think he and Les Battersby have been to the same acting school who's motto must be 'If in doubt - shout'.

Agreed, I didn't even watch Monday's second episode.

Dev annoys me so I wouldnt care if he went. However I think its a disgrace they have axed Shobna, we are losing a fantastic actress there.

I dont care about the twins either, they are a bit pointless. Jessie is going soon anyway.

My folks didn't watch it either, and I didn't watch last Monday's 2nd episode, and won't be bothering to watch the late ones next week. I couldn't give a hoot about the Dev/Sunita story - it is very silly and far-fetched, and they're getting rid of the wrong actor of the two.

My patience with it is threadbare.

A proper fan of Coronation Street would watch, not because the like orr dislike the current major storyline going on, but because of all the little bits of character acting that goes on around it.

For example, exchanges between Norris Cole and Blanche Hunt, or Roy Cropper and Vera Duckworth never get mentioned in any previews, but they are always worth watching.

I've watched for as long as I can remember, and can remember things from about 1976, I've rarely missed an episode. The trouble is there can be too much of a good thing, and they are pushing it, particularly with daft main plots. So despite the often (but not consistent or guarenteed side plots and scenes) I find missing an episode or three less of an issue these days - it's wallpaper, always there and sometimes annoys. A "proper fan" (and I am happy to admit to being one) should be more concerned about ITV wearing out the plots, the characters and therefore the programme - and I fear this is what they are doing. I want to be watching it in 40 years time, as a "proper fan" I am concerned about the reasons why I can't be bothered to watch the next episode - they simply aren't attracting me at the moment.
