What's everyone's opinion of Adam thesedays?

When he first started he was compared with the Nick Tilsley level of acting, but do you find he isn't that bad anymore, or do you still want him axed along with half the cast?

He isnt on my list of those to be axed. He isnt the best of actors but not actually that bad. And he is hot so can stay Embarassed

I'll not agree with you on that one jez, unlike our agreement over Jamie, I'm not keen on Adam.... although if he shaved his head.... Laughing

If Corrie is going out at 10pm at least let them do a late night episode - be quite interesting to see how far they'd go with this - though they did include the word "bonking" in tonight's episode!

I'd love to hear Blanche say 'Minge'.

Laughing I'd miss the rest of the episode through laughing so much - especially if she said it without realising she'd said it!

I loved the scene last night with Gail and Audrey, where Gail inferred that she'd walked in on a compromising situation with Audrey and an "Uncle"... and Audrey got all embarrased!

It's annoying that ITV gives the reality tv shows all the attention and when they fail prop them up with extra episodes of coronation street. Yet other perfectly good dramas have bitten the dust after two episodes because they did not get the viewer numbers itv wanted. with this attitude itv is forcing us to watch reality tv bile.

Re: Adam - I think one of the reasons he's bought in is because Johnny Briggs wanted to cut down on his scenes, so they bought in Bradley Walsh and later Adam for the factory scenes. In a recent interview, Johnny Briggs said he wasn't being killed off in the near future.

Re: Corrie - I've said this before, but what ITV need is other big series to take the pressure off Coronation Street. Over the last few years the flagship ITV shows have been the soaps and reality shows like I'm a Celeb which just run over a couple of weeks.

What they need is some ratings bankers that bring in the viewers on a weekly basis - basically extended US style drama series, with far more than 6 episodes a series (but running as series, not weekly serials!).

I agree Corrie going out 3 times a night is doing the show nothing but harm. But to be fair i don't think it's to "prop up" I'm a celeb. IAC stands fine on it's own. The 2 shows going back-to-back-to-back is simply to keep ITV riding high in the ratings all night. Plus - if anything is propping anything up it's IAC helping Corrie. I doubt the late episode of Corrie would have quite as many viewers if IAC wasn't on before it - The 2 shows pat each others backs.

They need to come up with some other shows to keep ratings riding high all night, quite frankly. I hope it backfires big time so they will stop this nonsence.

I think if you go back a year in this thread I've probably said this before, but the problem with last year's extra 10pm episodes was the content was spread so thinly.

If "Mad Maya's Monday" had all been done in the 3 episodes on the Monday, it would have worked brilliantly as the storyline leant itself to this - but it was spread out over the week with the action only beginning on the 10pm show on Monday and most of it playing out on the Wednesday - losing alot of it's impact!

I expect next year during the World Cup they'll be alot of 10pm episodes as the soaps are moved around the schedule.

I've always said this, but I still think it's best all round that if an episode is pre-empted by sport, it's better to drop it than squeeze it into the schedule - while to be honest I'd rather have a huge cliff hanger before the World Cup and then a complete break for the tournament - but ITV would never be brave enough to do that!

Next week due to Children in Need, BBC1 are scheduling 2 episodes of EastEnders on Thursday. At 7.30 and 8.30.

Now if even BBC1 gets up to these sorts of tricks, both not dropping an episode, and also using the 8.30 show to help out the 8.00 and 9.00 programmes, there's no way ITV would ever stop doing it.

Not a bad episode tonight.

Great to see Carol Baldwin back, she looks well too.

Was it just me or did that bloke in the cafe look like Charlie Stubbs?

Im bored of Sarah though.

Are you sure that's a spoiler, and not just a line from Ironic by Alanis Morissette? Wink

EDIT: Meant to mention, I heard a radio advert for Corrie this morning on Galaxy 105 - first time I've ever heard one. From what I can remember (and I was concentrating more on the traffic than the radio at the time), it was fairly generic and sounded like it was part of the Cadbury sponsorship. Anyone else heard it?
