Tonight's ep was better than previous ones, liked Bev phoning at the end.

Yes, poor Betty... I felt a bit sad at the end, there! (Note - why did Marmaduke suddenly change colour? In "The Women of Coronation Street" book in a picture with Betty, he is fully ginger, but tonight he was white with ginger patches. Sheesh, continuity.)

Danny Young / Warrens exit story has to be the cruellest I've ever seen.

Lines like "I've been dropped", "My contracts not been renewed", "I'm not good enough"...

Brilliant!

Made me chuckle too! I still struggle to understand him though.

Now shift the axe in the direction of the pointless Adam... although I guess he'll be about until the end of the Mike Baldwin plots work through Sad

The street seems a bit cluttered at the moment - that new guy in the garage popped up the other day, I'd completely forgotten about him! As for those "twins"... And does Boris still work in the butchers?

Looks like next Friday will be worth a watch,

Cilla making a getaway on Blanche's mobility scooter

Blanche is wonderful. I want to be her when I grow up.

Yes - my favourite character.
Nver fails to astoud how they managed to get an actress so similar in appearance to Deirdre - though the glasses do help a bit...
Perfectly cast.

She gets some good lines too... there was a great one a month or two back, along the lines of "Oh, stop going on about scandal and gossip - I can hardly hear 'Trisha'."

Yes, you have one of them to go to the shops, don't you?

Not yet, I'm saving up though. Should have enough to get one for when I reach 43.

SE it's nothing to look forward to. When you turn 43 you just end up thinking about death all the time.

You do that at ten years younger too!

Tonights episode was good, much better than a lot of episodes over the last month or so. Jenny Platt was good as Violet again and I also liked the Baldwins. Sarah and Scooter were crap again but werent in it much thankfully.

Ive just had a check on Friday's soap ratings;

Coronation Street - 8.78
Eastenders - 6.42
Emmerdale - 7.19

Source: Digital Spy

So low figures for all the soaps but not surprising as its summer. And Corrie is still well in the lead even if it isnt on as top form as it usually is.
