Did anyone else notice the kids in the back of the taxi shouting out of sync last night? Presumably they'd initially shot them shouting out names of Cadbury products, along with 'Mars Bars', 'Polo Mints' and 'Smarties' (which were left in) but realised later that they could be fined for product placement as they're sponsored by Cadbury, so had to dub over with words like 'sweeties'.

I wonder if the original names have been left in for transmission abroad.

I noticed they were shouting out names of chocolate bars which are NOT made by Cadburys so I wondered if it was due to sponsorship reasons.

Latest on the upcoming exits - Warren leaves on Sunday 17th July and Ciaran leaves on Wednesday 20th July.

Highlight to read

Despite the rumours that Ciaran was to die, he gets quite a low key exit. Shelly walks in as Ciaran pins Charlie to the wall and threatens to punch him, so Shelly sacks him and he leaves.

This storyline with Shelley is beyond a joke now. It's been going on for too long and is extremely boring.

And Candice is leaving too...

Why wasn't Deirdre completely plastered tonight, though? She'd been drinking champagne all day...

But, that'd be sponsors influencing program content, which (IIRC) is against sponsorship rules.

Is it just me, or is this one of Corrie's most pathetic storylines in ages? Any normal person if concerned about the welfare of animals would have called the RSPCA. It's just not credible. Plus this is going on alongside the ludicrous butchers' boxing storyline, which again would never happen in reality - it's just nonsense.

I really hope Corrie improves once we head into the Autumn, as it's very poor at the moment.

I agree with you, the storyline with the fish is so boring. I just dont see the point in it. Have you just written this into the script to give Scooter and Sarah something to do? The Butchers boxing thing is equally as poor. And Charlie and Shelly just get worst and worst by the episode.

Friday's episode was poor. Last nights was a lot better thanks to Tracy and Liz, but the rest was boring.

Rumour has it we are getting a change of producer soon though as Tony Wood is leaving. Former Emmerdale producer Steve Frost is the favourate to replace him which could be good news for Corrie as it really needs some new ideas at the moment.

I agree with you all! There's been some very dodgy storys lately - they've too much time to fill. I'm not so bothered with the Shelly story - I just hope it doesn't drag too much longer, but to have a bitchy Tracy V Steve story.... yaaaaaaawn. When does Tracy finally go?

Exactly, thats why we are getting so much silly storylines. It always goes a bit like this in the summer but not this bad. It should be on Mon, Wed and Friday at 7.30pm, get rid of the Sunday episode and 8.30pm Monday.

Kate Ford was contracted to Corrie until November but rumour has it she has got a 6 month extension so could be around until Mid 2006. I think the storyline goes around in circles too much but I like the character of Tracy because she is such a bitch. She was great last night! Apparently she tries to tell Steve he isnt Amy's real father after all.

Looks like we have more of this Sarah and Scooter nonsense tonight

And its Warren's final week on the show. I will miss the eye candy but not the character.

With Nikki Sanderson leaving for new challenges and guest presenting CD:UK every other week, do you get the feeling she's slowly turning into Candice?

My opinion of Warren seems to be verge from being bad to ok every few weeks, one minute he's dire, the next not that bad.

The storyline with Scooter, not sure where it is heading but the banter with David makes up for it

I said exactly the same thing about Nikki when I saw her on CD:UK - she was dreadful too Laughing

I read a while ago that Sarah 'comforts' Jason when he finds out about Violet & Charley as always one thing leads to another ...*yawns* everything just seems to be going round in circles at the minute. Rolling Eyes
