Did anyone notice that ITV1 showed a few minutes of CLI during Corrie last night in an attempt to get more viewers to watch CLI. Maybe thats the reason they showed the Granada Logo, as they were going to another program for longer than a trailer would be?

It was just a long trailer really, nothing new, unless you read a certain other forum where everything is a conspiracy!

Corrie moved to 8.30pm for the next two Mondays. 7.30pm dropped.

Is this a tryout for a future schedule change?

Well curiously, the week after next the schedule has Emmerdale at 7pm followed by Airline at 7.30pm, then Tonight at 8pm and Corrie from 8.30pm-9.30pm.

I think this is because of CLI, they probabaly want Corrie to lead straight into CLI at 9.30pm and dont want to schedule 90 minutes of it from 9pm onwards (like they did the first 2 weeks). I expect Corrie will revert to the usual times once CLI ends.

They need to sort out the continuity of Cilla's "tan" it goes from one extreme to the other in a matter of seconds, and I don't think its down to the lighting either!

Perhaps I'm just not used to seeing Jack and Vera much anymore, but I'm not finding this pigeon story very credible somehow.

A box set of Corrie DVD's from the 1970s are being released on 25th July. Here are the details;

A celebration of Britain's most famous and enduring television programme, Coronation Street Years features 80 landmark episodes from the 1970's in a 10-disc box set.

With 8 outstanding episodes from each year, this box set represents the very best of 'Coronation Street' in the decade that established it as a staple part of British tv culture. With many episodes unseen since their original broadcast, the release is an opportunity to revisit old friends and re-live some classic moments.

YYYYAAAAAAAYYY!

Ahem.. this is great news! I'm glad this is finally happening, one does feel at some point why their favourite programme hasn't had a 'full-on' release like the above; many other shows have had these releases.

Great news that they're finally bringing out some classic Corrie on DVD... although I really can't afford the £100 RRP (or even the £79.99 at play.com) at the moment. Sad

The cheapest ive been able to find it is Amazon for £75. It is very expensive but when you think there is 80 episodes on it its very good value for money. I'll*have* to get it as im a huge Corrie fan.

Apparently there is a 1980's box set planned for release in November as well!

There's going to be 80 episodes on 10 disks? or 8 episodes from the 70's?.

10 discs, one of each year in the 70s (1970-1979) - each one will have 8 episodes.

Wasnt Cilla really evil tonight! Claire just gets walked over doesnt she.

I wrote to Wendi Peters only last week, and ive had a reply from her already - a signed photo personalised "To Jeremy". She is clearly the opposite of her character and knows how to appreciate her fans but im just surprised she replied so quickly, she must respond to her mail on almost a daily basis.
