Strange the way they always add a filmy look to trailers.
At least they're not adding it to the actual show. There'd be several pages of complaints about it in this thread!
Agreed. I've no personal objections to filmy effects being added to programmes, but only for the right kind of programmes. It works well on expensive dramas and shows with a serious edge - or even dark comedies like The Leage Of Gentlemen, but it would just look odd on soaps. Having said that, up until the early 80s, exterior shots on Corrie did look filmy... because they were shot on film!
