Well done on the BAFTA Coronation Street.

I hate how there's no scope for hour-long episodes now and we're subjected to torturous two/three episode nights. I mean, I loved them back in the day, some amazing two-parters with Richard killing Maxine and his confession, and Karen and Steve's wedding, but the majority have been crap and it's taken all the excitment away.

I'd say that there is just one thing I want from Coronation Street and that's to axe 8.30pm Monday episode

I noticed there was no Cadbury sponsorship sting at the end of part one of this evening's 7.30pm episode. At first I thought it had been omitted due to the nature of the storyline (as has happened in the past) but all the other sponsorship stings were intact.

In the Tyne Tees area we got a longer-than-usual hold on the EOP caption, then after a quick fade-to-black one second of a promo featuring James Hewitt played, cutting quickly away to a Hula Hoops ad.

Yeah, we got that too in the Midlands.

Do you think they'll have to reimburse Cadbury, for failiure to honour the contract of showing the sponsorship?

Or will heads roll with whoever runs the ads?

Did anyone notice the mistake at the end of the first episode of Corrie tonight. The announcer said it would be back in half an hour, the caption said 10pm.

I liked the scenes at the Bingo tonight, especially Sean and Vera!

I wonder if the original plan was to show tonight's second episode at 10pm?

Yep me too, especially when Vera hit that man with the Cliff Richard doll!

This is a pretty big error/oversight on ITV's part. I wonder how many people didn't switch on a 8.30pm and missed that second episode?

My mum kept saying it was on again at 10pm, and insisted on hitting the ITV1 button just to check.

Yes they have shot themselves in the foot there telling people the next episode was at 10pm, obviously they didnt bother altering the caption thing as on Wednesday it was at 10pm. Very sloppy way of doing things especially when these extra episodes are there to pull in more viewers for ITV.

The extra episodes havent been that bad , although apart from katy kicking the bucket nothing big has happened, tonights 2nd episode was very amusing though.

Two good episodes last night! I was worried it was going to be wall-to-wall misery following Kay-ee's death, but the bingo storyline was great as light relief.

The only thing which really annoyed me was the blatant, shameless plug when Sean said, "Next year I could be on Hell's Kitchen." What next? "Ooh Rita, I see there's another obesity special on Tonight with Trevor McDonald this evening?" Mad

Well if Doctor Who can get away with plugging Newsround and Blue Peter on their show, i'm sure ITV are allowed a little self-advertising Wink
