I don't read the magazines and spoilers on websites, so when i do occasionally watch corrie i don't know what's going on.

But even I knew Ray was going to die in this episode. The masses and masses of "I'm about to die" make-up on his face gave it away totally. They could of made it a little more subtle don't you think?

I know that's probably how a dying man looks, but a little bit of suspense would of been nice.

I though the make-up was excellent - though yes in the very last scene it was a bit much. But overall in the last few weeks he's looked as sick as a dog - brilliantly done.

Lovely last scene - would a slow track backwards rather than a zoom have been more effective?

Agreed about the heart-to-heart with Rita, very nice scene.

Neville Buswell as Ray has been brilliant, he deserves some sort of best actor award, but i doubt he'll be recognised(because his names not Shane Richie).

Also Adam is sooooo annoying.

Gail seems to have shaken off her nervousness which is good. I'd love for her and Martin to get back together.

Yes, I think there is plenty of ground to be covered between Gail/Martin. I think its inevitable.

I do hope not, "getting back together" happens too often in soaps, and generally once people are divorced it doesn't usually happen - with Ken and D, and Sally and Kev it'd be too much I think.

Martin is a bit of a spare part these days (partiularly now Katie has gone) , so they either need to write in other people for him - or get rid!

Not to mention Liz and Jim who also divorced and remarried. Gail had already married "Our Brian" Tilsley twice, so if her and Martin got married again it would be just a little unrealistic.

Id get rid of Martin, he has always been a really irritating character, Gail is better off on her own.

I'd forgot she married Brian twice!

Perhaps we could see more of Gail at work in the surgery? She could have a teenage style crush on a young doctor Laughing

Yes she remarried Brian in 1988 but she didnt love him the second time around, they got back together for the kids and because Ivy and Audrey wanted them to. They were on the verge of splitting up for a second time when he was killed a year later.

It would be a good storyline, it would also be a good way of re introducing the doctors surgery into the storylines.

They would have to recreate the surgery set then, assuming they took it apart once they decided not to include the surgery in scenes any longer.

For Gail to have any kind of relationship with any man would be unrealistic. If someone had the experiences that shes had, then theyd steer well clear of me, dont you think?

I've recognised bits of it at the "hospital" they usually use - does anyone know if the surgery set was adapted to be the hospital - I think I remember that it was built inside the building on Rosamund Street opposite the Rovers.
