Not according to BBC News, which I would believe quicker than the papers:
"An average of 6.2m viewers tuned in to the wedding on Saturday with the figure peaking at 7.6m during the couple's blessing at St George's Chapel. An average of 1.1m viewers watched coverage of the royal wedding on ITV1."
So Corrie did win the ratings war. The Grand National also beat Charles and Camillas wedding.

Quite surprised by that actually!

Very sad ending to tonights episode but it was very well done.
I liked the scene between Ray and Rita when they were talking about the past.
Think it was a bit late for that
Highlight for spoiler
It wont last long because Tracy and Steve get together after Ray's funeral

Is anyone else bored rigid with the prospect of another tedious and drawn-out Tracy vs Steve's Girlfriend plot

Well I'm sure you could always use witchcraft.
Mind you at least Norris still has his youthful good looks.
I felt Kate Ford didnt play being upset in that last scene very well either, there were no real tears. Barbara Knox wipes the floor with everyone else, she is a brilliant actress.

I suppose it is hard but Lucy Jo Hudson manages real tears and she is a worst actress than Kate Ford IMO.
Friday's and tonights episodes would have worked better as a 1 hour special IMO, would have done no harm dropping tonights episode and having it as a 1 hour last Friday instead.

Great episode tonight, the last scene (Tracy's tears) did seem a bit 'damp' in a way, I agree no real tears. Loved the Lena scenes, though!

Well I find Tracy like that most of the time, acting via the aid of varying degrees of grins on her face, she does a happy grin, a sad grin, an angry grin.
That Adam Barlow is a bit annoying as well
