Angela looked to me like she was hiding something when she went into work, i thought the makeup on Tommy looked they real indeed. The show was very good tonight and i think this story will get better in weeks to come.

The makeup on Tommy was good, he was getting whiter every minute.

I think Corrie has more than made up for the poor Friday night Killer Katy episode. Last night's episodes were both great, gripping and tense.

Once again Corie seemed to have got the mix right between serious and light hearted storylines.

I think ITV should still be airing the Killer Katy idents throughout this week as that is the prevailent storyline and people still need to be reminded that this week's episodes are probably MORE important that last Friday's Killer episode!

The aftermath has been far better than the build-up - but was it really neccessary to have 4 episodes covering one day. (Anyone else get the feeling that the Wed/Fri and Sun/Mon (7.30) were intended as double bills!)

As with the Maya situation, it was spread over to many episodes.

I agree! I thought that! But I can't understand how that would have worked in the schedule.

I bet they originally planned to have a double episode on friday, which i always thought they would do anyway, then last nights first episode would have been the Sunday episode, and then last nights second episode would have been the first. It would make more sense and look better.

Corrie cleans up at soap awards
08/03/2005

Mad Maya's vengeful rampage against Dev and Sunita in Coronation Street was voted the top of the plots in the All About Soap Bubble Awards.

Corrie swept the board, taking five out of eight of the top gongs including best brawl for Eileen and Gail's hair-pulling antics, the Daily Star reports.

The dramatic rooftop catfight between Tracy and Karen took the gong for Christmas Cracker, beating off Dan's death in Hollyoaks and Zoe's pregnancy in EastEnders.

"Suranne [Jones] and I loved filming those scenes," said delighted actress Kate Ford, who plays Tracy.

"I miss fighting with her so much and I'm thrilled we have won."

Corrie's cute Chesney Brown, played by 11-year-old Sam Aston, won the award for the cheekiest character, while the nuptials of Ashley and Claire in Weatherfield took the best wedding gong.

Elsewhere, EastEnders took two awards, with newcomer Stacey Slater picking up the award for new kid on the block and Dot voted top of the I'm A Survivor category.

Emmerdale had to make do with just one award, for Debbie's underage kiss with Andy.

I was in Manchester yesterday so went to Granada Studios and the Museum of Science and Industry. Took some photo's of the Corrie set from the top floor of the museum , I was suprised of how clear the view was from there, also on the grond floor of the museum by the windows you are practically on the street by where the bookies and Street Cars are. Saw some people walking about on the set, mostly crew, but did see the actors who play Martin Platt, Rosie Webster, Sarah Platt, Katy Harris, Craig Harris and Scooter. They all went around the corner towards where Martin's flat and the cafe/butchers are.

Also took pics of the plaques for Pat Phoenix, Vi Carson, Doris Speed and Bryan Mosley, on the wall by the Granada main enterance, then walked around to the old enterance to the studio tours (on Water Street) and noticed they have an outside set for the Davenports garage there, its just by the side of that huge brick warehouse building. The rest of the old studio tours looks like its just used as a car park.. I also noticed on the street set that the sign on the corner shop is a different colour, isnt t the one on screen blue at the moment? Well now it looks like a red/brown ish colour, still says D and S Alahan's on the front though.
