I guess with Claire looking to become a Tram Driver that repetitively rumoured storyline of a tram crashing onto the street looks ever so slightly more likely!

And what's with Ken and Deirdre getting married next week - EastEnders slippery slope began when couples were getting married within a month of getting engaged - and in the case of Kat - engaged and married twice in three months!

But they still plan to marry next week - just over two weeks after the (second) proposol!

They arent getting married next week, the wedding gets postponed and they end up getting married on 8th April. They have been married before so I guess there is no point in them waiting a long time to get remarried.

Yes? What was the point in that?

Never mind this Killer Katy business, this tram story is good at the moment, would EastEnders do this sort of thing in the same humour? I think not. Imagine Dev (wasn't he supposed to be off our screens) being a tram enthusiast.

Fred saying that trams go to rough places with people with baseball bats, people in Altrincham, Eccles and Bury will be complaining!

I was wondering that he would be off our screens around now, I thought my suspicions were confirmed when the dinner party was cancelled, so I thought that Dev had just left, and they quickly re-wrote it, but then he appeared in the Cafe. Unless the scenes aren't filmed in order, or on the same day, who knows. Anyway, tonights episode was good in parts, Charlie is an evil b*****d! I hate him so much, and Shelly is so naive. The story is very good at the moment.

Scenes are certainly not filmed in order - they work on several episodes at once.

When did Dev get suspended? Theres usually around 6 weeks between filming and screening so I guess most storylines on now were filmed either just before or just after Christmas.

I was suprised to see Dev too, Sunita seemed to be making excuses for his absence and then he goes an turns up in a random scene in the cafe. I think he was suspended just before Christmas.

They usually film about 4 weeks in advance but with the show taking 2 weeks off for their Christmas break they might be a bit further behind at the moment.

Interesting that there is an article in The Sun that Katy is to beat up Tommy with a wrench in the garage rather than stabbing him to death... It goes on to explain that Angela helps to cover up the murder. There is also a picture of Katy with a wrench, staring at Tommy's lifeless body. The full story is here:

I really don't feel the need to watch "Killer Katy" i know every little detail from reading the paper and tv mag. This has to be one of the most over exposed plot's in soap history. Rolling Eyes

Corrie doesn't need over the top, one off rating winning episodes. Granada is trying to turn both Emmerdale & Corrie into second rate Dynasty style soaps and it just won't work.

Kill Tommy, don't Kill Tommy, who cares?

We don't have to read the plot detailed in the tv listing guides throughout the last week but obviously some people choose to read them and then complain about knowing the storylines!!!
I wonder if there will some part of the story that won't have been leaked a la Mad Maya storyline ending?

RE Sunday Night's episode :-
It just goes to show how good the corrie writers are that they created a masterpiece about someone buying a pair of spectacles and some old people having a book club meeting!

Both scenes were classic and Deidre's mother needs an award for comedy! What a great idea this book club is turning out to be!

Yes a brilliant episode tonight, I agree Maggie Jones should definately win Best Comedy performance at this years soap awards! Glad they also remembered Rita's birthday, although its actually meant to be the 25th February so should have been Friday's episode, I only know this as im a Rita fan.

The rest of the episode was very good too, the Tommy/Katy storyline is building up quite nicely for events at the end of this week.
