I agree. I think they should've killed her off in that crash - it would have been an excellent exit for her, and a first in not leaking the plot. The show is moving on and that story should be left in the past.

I'm not so sure about Maya. These trials bore the hell out of me if we already know they're guilty, then I don't see the point, i mean, you can't really do a twist where she gets let off, because it just wouldn't happen, a whole street of witnesses saw her try to kill them.

I understand your point but IMO Maya is far too good a character to kill off, she was a much better villan than Charlie is or even Richard Hillman.

I agree that she is too good to kill off and she did have the potential to be much better than Richard Hillman, but the story was rushed and IMO and if the story wasn't rushed I would agree but TBH she should have got killed. ITV didn't schedule it brilliantly either. Putting one of the best episodes of Corrie I've seen in a long time at 10pm didn't do the storyline justice.

Yes but what exactly could she do if she was brought back? hang around in the background annoying Dev and Sunita? She's already done that. Corrie should move on, there's no need to bring back villans from the past, only desperate soaps do that

Exactly, it's far better to say "that Maya was soooo bad, and what a way to go!", and remember her at the "top", than to push credibility by having her back in another dramatic plot, or to let her go in the back of a taxi (or prison van) which would be a damp squib of an ending after that - to try and beat it would send Corrie down the Brookside path I think. I can't see her as a "regular" character either really.
I find the mental torture that Charlie is dishing out far more interesting, evil and realistic than Maya's screaming and smashing everything up.

Re: Maya's trial. I think it makes a change for a storyline like this with such an "evil" character comes to it's conclusion in the courtroom - rather than with justice being served through death.
The only problem though is the verdict is not in question - it would have been better if Sunita's bigamy charge had got as far as trial.
As for Maya, considering we know nothing of her family it be brilliant if they bought in her identical twin or something!
As for Killer Katy - it's bad enough these storylines are leaked to the press without them being promoted in the trailers themselves. Although obviously no surprise to the viewer, I imagine Tommy's murder won't be a premedetated act. Not seen the trailer so can't comment further!
It's a shame most the Harris's are going - I think they bring something quite different to the street compare to the other families!
