On This Morning the soap expert announced that they are planning a huge wedding this year, and its not Deirdre and Ken or Maria and Tyrone, its infact Les and Cilla.
Also in the papers yesterday there were pictures of Ray Langton returning to work at Corrie after a 27 year absence, and pictures of the actor who plays Tommy with a head "wound" and "stage blood"pouring from his ear, during a break from filming.

I'm convinced the woman Cilla sold Schmeichel to has previously appeared in Corrie as another character. She looked really familiar. The only person who springs to mind is the fancy-piece that Don Brennan was seeing when he had his car crash. I may be completely wrong though. Either way, please someone put my mind at rest - it's really bugging me!

i checked the credits and the actress name is Jayne Tunnicliffe and according to the IMDB she hasnt been in Corrie before but has been in Clocking Off.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1782344/
The actress who played Julie Dewhurst (who had an affair with Don) was Su Elliott

Well, essentially Corrie is just losing one family and a couple of other part-time actors. It shouldn't affect the Street too much and hopefully they will introduce some new characters.
A lot of the long-timers are still there and even though they have gone through some strong storylines recently it is still easy to watch it especially with the GOTH storyline (lol) and the Schmiecal episode! It doesnt have to be big stories ALL the time nor doom and gloom like EE!

CORRIE: 1ST GAY COUPLE
Feb 6 2005
By Alan Rimmer
CAMP Corrie factory boy Sean Tully is to get a screen boyfriend - giving Weatherfield its first-ever gay couple.
Real-life gay actor Antony Cotton has been a massive hit with bosses who signed him up to play cheeky machinist Sean.
Now they have rewarded him with a lucrative new contract and by introducing one of Sean's old flames to beef up his storylines.
Shaven-headed actor Nick Moss will play Louis, a once-besotted boyfriend from the past. A Street insider said: "Antony has been incredibly popular with viewers who say they would dearly love for Sean to have a relationship, and Corrie bosses have responded."
Actor Nick, 24, who is straight in real life, turns up in the Street to tell Sean that the dog they bought together, Shandy, has died.
The Corrie source said: "Sean is beside himself with grief and this eventually brings the couple close together again."
They arrange a burial and as they lower the tiny coffin they break into the Barry Manilow hit Mandy... substituting Shandy for Mandy.
The source added: "It's a really tender storyline full of pathos. Classic Corrie."
