Someone posted on Digital Spy Forums that it will be Adam Barlow who beds Sean Shocked but its not confirmed yet who it will be.

As for the omnibus, yes I think in <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=tv%20shows" onmouseover="window.status='tv shows'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">tv shows</a> the actors are given "repeat fees" if its shown again, and its obviously more if its repeated on ITV1 than a smaller channel like ITV2.

Cheers. Adam Barlow Gay? I'd much prefer another gay character coming in and being Seans new love. I doubt it would be Adam, wasn't he supposed to be getting together with Sarah.

I have to agree with you about that de ja vu with Sallys affair, they should try something original, like a character gets together with a secret love, and we're left guessing who is the charcter's secret love who could be a well knowned Corrie Character, I'd much prefer that to Ian 'Want to stay late tonight Sally?' Davenport and Sallys affair.

Well its not confirmed its Adam, just speculation, apparently it is to be a street regular but its not known if its a male or female.

Im not even sure if Adam is in the show long term, he seems to have gone back up to Scotland - as for Sarah she isnt getting together with Adam, she is getting together with a guy called Scooter, as mentioned on last weeks episodes she met him on the bus.

The shop set has to be the most unrealistic ever. Every detail is wrong, I've never been into a shop like that (well not since the early 80s).

A shop that small would have to pack the stock in to make it work, most of what I've seen so far is nothing but a few odd shelves (not even proper adjustable shop fittings) and a few basket-racks against lots of hiddeosly over-bright walls.

What was the set designer thinking of?! Has he/she ever been into a real corner shop?

Indeed, how many shops do you know with groceries on display in the front window? none I'd expect. One of the shops Maya blew up also had this feature. It is as you say like something from Open All Hours!. At least they've replaced the brown Manchester Arndale Centre style tiles though.

Moving on to the interior, how many shops have people been in with wooden fixed shelves directly nailed to painted walls. As people said, where's the proper shop fittings? We'll have to see what it looks like when all the stock is in.

No doubt they will still be using a pricing gun with individual price stickers on each can like something off Dale's Supermarket Sweep as well!

Well a lot of small shops have to still have price stickers as they dont all have tills which can scan the barcodes.

Hmm well now HTV ran their own message over the end just then [no on-screen graphic mind you], pointing people to helplines in Wales -- rather than the Refuge one network suggested.

I've never known that to happen before -- obviously some forward planning/consultation taking place there.

What surprised me the most about Charlie ripping the diamonds out was that Shelley didn't seem to find it that painful. And so begins a crop of episodes featuring her 'bawling her heart out'...

That was a powerful ending, quite shocking even though we knew what was going to happen.

The BBC's TV 2004 Moments must have been filmed last night. And I can't believe this, EastEnders won the best popular drama moment title which included a storyline about Dot confiding in Den that she was ...unwell. Rolling Eyes Coronation Street was nominated with the excellent scene in which Eileen and Gail had a fight on the street after Todd revealed he was gay. They say it was a poll, but I'm sure it's just judged, and therefore EastEnders were obviously going to win that one, I mean, this has to be the most bias awards show ever! Aaahhhhhhhh! Evil or Very Mad

Also, if I'm right, Corrie's 6000th episode should be on Monday April 18th, but no storylines for this episode have been confirmed. But knowing Corrie, it should be a gud'un. Very Happy

The shop really does look like a very, very bad TV set from the early 1980s. Where's the stock?!

I have to say that Very was funny in the first episode when she was in the Corner Shop arguing with Sarah and Audrey.

Slightly OT, but I popped into Woolworths earlier and I couldn't help notice that the Coronation Street Moments of 2004 DVD (and the Emmerdale one too) appears to be on sale for £2.99, when it was £12.99.

Couldn't be arsed buying it mind you. Laughing

I thought it was boring tonight, apart from Charlie/Shelly and Rita turning up, couldnt believe my eyes! Didnt need 2 episodes though.

I saw those DVD's in Woolworths too, I bought the Emmerdale one a few weeks ago for about £2.99, the Corrie one I already had, not bad DVD's IMO.
