Ive warmed to Maya a bit, I heard she goes completely mad this week, LOL almost all of Dev’s women end up going loopy.

Maggie Jones has been playing Blanche since 1974, I think she was in it from 1974 until 1976/7, then came back for Ken/Deirdre’s wedding in 1981. She then didn’t appear for about 15 + years, returning in the late 1990s. Strangely she didn’t look like Deirdre in the 1970s, but when she returned in the late 90s they tried to make her look like Deridre with hairstyle, glasses etc



Within the next month I think, I read that Todd becomes uncomfortable with Karl this week now he knows he is gay and Karl thinks he is being homophobic. But they get stuck in a lift at the hospital in a few weeks time and they become friendly and it develops from there, well that’s what ive heard anyway.



That sounds good! Ive noticed Gail is becoming just like Ivy, and Ivy’s relationship with Brian was just the same as Gail/Nick. I think what really got to Ivy was the fact Gail married Martin and changed Nick’s name from Tilsley to Platt, I think when Ivy died she demanded Nick change his name back to Tilsley in her will.
If Nick dies in this fire I bet Gail will become obsessed with her dead son just like Ivy did when Brian was stabbed to death.

Yes Coronation Street is great atm! Much better than EE - even though I dont catch that many episodes of EE anymore as it is SO dire!

The general opinion at the moment is that Corrie is wiping the floor with EE
But which soap will win the most awards at the BSA in May? I hope Corrie wins loads - IMO they should get Best Actress (Suranne Jones) Sexiest Female (Suranne) Best Actor (Simon Gregson) Best Couple (Steve/Karen) Best Episode (The wedding) Best Villan (Tracey) Best Storyline (Shelly/Peter/Lucy) Special Achievement Award (Barbara Knox for over 30 years as Rita)

Emmerdale should win - Best Exit (Trisha), Best Comedy (Laurel) Spectacular Scene of the Year (The Storm), Sexiest Male (Carl)

And of course Best Soap *should* go to Corrie, although maybe Emmerdale will surprise everyone and win it!

But he said he is in Chicago the musical playing Amos Hart!

Looking in the TV Guide, on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV2 its Coronation Street Secrets. I think it might be a new series. This ep is about Hunks which I dont think was in the last series.

The ep the week after (3rd March) is about 'In-laws and Outlaws'.

its a good series this, and good that Tony Wilson narrates it.

Yes it is a new series of Soap Secrets, next week's is being shown on ITV1 for 1/2 at 8.30pm I think.

Wasnt classic Corrie on Plus good this week, we have reached 1993 now. The storylines with Carmel/Martin/Gail and all the stuff with Mike/Mark/Maggie etc were really good.

I've loved the Plus episodes this week, it is getting better and better. When is it when Carmel gets pushed down the stairs? As that will be good.

Though you have to feel sorry for Lisa and Des, shame it won't last long.

I take it 1993 is the Bettabuys era. Has Reg Holdsworth got his wig yet? or was that later?
