Does anyone else think that Gothic Rosie looks the spitting image
of Tracey Barlow during her 'go upstairs to play your tapes' era?

Strangely enough, I was just thinking that myself. The resemblance is almost uncanny.

More news about the Corrie Spin Off from Digital Spy

"ITV has given the greenlight to a Coronation Street spinoff centred around Todd Grimshaw, the Daily Star claims today.

The one-off would follow Grimshaw, played by actor Bruno Langley, facing "everyday challenges at work, study and romance" as he starts a new life in London.

The character was last seen leaving the cobbles after cheating on fiance Sarah-Louise in a gay affair.

According to the newspaper, the spinoff would be aimed at a gay audience - as well as older Corrie fans - and would be scheduled in a late night slot."

Not sure I like the idea of a Spin Off about Todd, hardly the best character in the show, glad it appears to be a one off.

Sounds a bit like a gay Tuckers Luck!

I'll believe it when I see it though. There have been so many different rumours about Corrie spin-offs of late. Whatever happened to the one which was to be based on the girls in the factory?

From The Sun:

Coronation Street was the biggest show over Chrsitmas and New Year, official figures have revealed. The ITV1 soap was No1 in the festive ratings chart with 12.4 million viewers watching on December 20. EastEnders was second with 12.3 million on Christmas Day.

I just thought I'd share this rather nice description of Corrie from an article on the decline of EastEnders by Lucy Mangan in today's MediaGuardian as it made me laugh...

Quote:
I'm a Coronation Street fan myself. I'll take the tragicomic camp of Weatherfield over the unrelenting misery of Walford Square any day. From old favourites such as Ken "never knowingly under-cardiganed" Barlow and Deirdre the Ambulant Tendon, to relative newcomers including Kirk 'n' Fizz and Janice Battersby and her flip-top head, I follow them gladly through the cobbled pathways of their interwoven lives and care about their fates to a possibly unhealthy degree.

I just read that article it made me laugh too!

I did enjoy Craig's problems with the tongue piercing tonight, I thought it was done really well! It's a nice little story that one.

Quick geeky observation of an error in Sunday's Corrie (only caught up on video last night)...

Roy was telling Hayley about how a bully at school had stabbed him "with a protractor". How's that possible? Wink

A brilliant Corrie last night - especially Kirk explaining what an illegal sandwich was!

Looks like Vince was only bought in for this story - and surprise surprise, the Street's bad boy sorted him out!

I presume the writers got mixed up between a protractor and a compass, quite a lot of people seem to! Laughing

Some people even get confused between a compass and a pair of compasses! Wink

A broken protactor though could be quite painful!
