OTT STORYLINE ALERT / MAJOR SPOILER

Well that storyline is certainly OTT, it could be a great exit for the Harris family though, i'll certainly be glad to see the back of Katy.

In your opinion, I personally think Katy's great. Anyway I'll believe this storyline if appears somewhere more credable. The Harris family will probably just drive off with all their belongings in 2 suit cases!

Yes the Xmas cake in Cilla's face story was a good funny one tonight. As was Vera the other night, Les: 'Are you calling me a liar', Roy: 'I wouldn't use the word liar' Vera: 'I would'

We had a close shave tonight, Nick almost came back. Oh and noise another comment tonight about not being able to understand what Warren says

And finally the photo above, I wouldn't be at all surprised, but if its true it's ridiculous. Can you imagine him sitting down to his breakfast with Ken and Blanche? They go from one extreme to the other with these head swaps, can't they just get someone normal!

How is Sunita going to her family for Christmas, pardon me for being PC, but would her family actually celebrate Christmas?

And that's another thing Corrie is obsessed with at the moment (re: the new Adam Barlow) glam/slutty looking teenage girls and gay porn star boys (well you catch my drift), more Dynasty-esque from Granada.

It will all end in tears.... What next Ena Sharples returning for a three way with Annie & Hilda? Then next of ITV1, I Used To Be Famous In The Kitchen Jungle from Hell 56

Grr!

I just find Katy really irritating as a character, I was reading an article in a magazine and Lucy Jo seems lovely though.

Yes Gail had us all worried that the plank of wood was coming back for a while there, poor Tyrone though, we can all tell Maria's heart isnt in this new relationship, bet it all ends in tears.

Well this new Adam Barlow is a model apparently, he is quite good looking which is no doubt what they are after to pull in young female viewers, I hope he can act!

Coronation Street's Sally seduced

Coronation Street viewers will see Sally Webster presented with a difficult dilemma early in the new year after her wealthy boss tries to woo her.

Garage boss Ian Davenport, played by Philip Bretherton, is desperate to seduce married Sally and offers her a job as his secretary in an effort to get close to her, the Daily Star reports.

Sally, played by Sally Whittaker, will have to decide between Ian's wealth and class and husband Kevin after her new boss makes it clear how he feels.

Ian will proposition Sally, telling her that although their daughters are school friends he wants to take their relationship a step further.

"Sally has been in awe of rich Ian and his wife Justine since meeting them a few months ago," a soap insider told the newspaper.

"As her marital future hangs in the balance, fans of the soap will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see which man she will choose."

Viewers will see the seduction unfold on Monday January 3rd.

I certainly won't be on the edge of my seat when this happens! Mad

It looks like the rumours of the storyline concering Katie's exit are true. Lucy-Jo Hudson was on GMTV this morning. She was talking about a "huge storyline" for her in the New Year before she leaves. Reference was also made to her "taking matters into her own hands".

ARGOS MODEL TO CORRIE HUNK

By Samantha Booth

CORRIE new boy Sam Robertson isn't just a fresh face on the Street - he is a complete unknown to acting.

The last time the public saw the Dundonian teenager's face was as a model in the Argos catagologue.

But by New Year's Eve he will be known to millions of soap fans as hunky Adam Barlow - the son of Mike Baldwin and grandson of Ken Barlow.

In the soap, Adam was last seen heading back to boarding school in Scotland as a young boy. But the character is making a surprise return as a sexy but sullen 16-year-old determined to leave school and get a job. Sam said: 'I've only been filming for two weeks but I am loving every second.

'I have no real idea what will happen past my six-month contract, but for the moment I'm enjoying each day.'

So far his only disappointment was not being able to keep his new job a secret from his mum.

The 19-year-old said: 'It's her birthday at New Year and I wanted to sit her down to watch Coronation Street so she'd get the surprise of her life when she saw me - but I couldn't stop myself telling her.'

Five weeks ago, Sam was a Manchester University drama student with no professional acting experience. He had signed up with a modelling agency to earn extra cash after leaving Dundee for college in 2002 and was soon posing for catalogues and poster campaigns for Caterpillar and Levi's. Then a few weeks ago, his agency asked him to audition for the role of Adam.

Sam said: 'It was a bolt out of the blue but I couldn't say no. I went for a read straight away, had a screen test a week later and the week after that I was on set. 'They were a bit worried about my lack of experience but I must have done OK.' As a boy, Sam wanted to be a footballer but got the acting bug while working as an usher at Dundee Rep. But he says his real inspiration was music genius John Lennon.

He said: 'I always put in loads of effort when we were reading plays at school but it wasn't until I saw what went on in the theatre that I thought, 'I want to do that.' 'Then I saw an interview with John Lennon where he talked about wanting to be in a band as a boy and that why shouldn't ordinary lads from Liverpool - or even Dundee - give these things a go.'

Sam got into his drama course, but when the call came in from The Street the only acting he had ever done was for a course project. Now he is learning on the job with 12-hour days on set.

And Sam said:'Surprisingly, I wasn't at all nervous, not even on my first day. 'I was just fascinated by the way everything worked.

'But I admit I was starstruck when I first met William Roache - all I could think was, 'I just met Ken Barlow.' However, most of the cast had to put in extra hours after Sam shot his first few scenes - because of his hair.

The producers decided he should have his mop cut and the scenes had to be shot again. Sam said: 'And my first scene involves half the cast because they are gathered in the Rovers to celebrate New Year.

'But it was fine and the cast have been really welcoming.'

Adam is lined up to woo young mum Sarah Lou - but Sam won't reveal how his character manages.

Off screen Sam is single and bemused at the idea of being the show's new heart-throb. He said: 'I am not too sure about that. Danny, who plays Warren Baldwin, has it pretty sewn up at the moment so I am not sure I can steal his mantle.

'But I do think it will all be a good laugh. I've always got my eye on plenty of girls.' Sam has had to put his degree on hold for six months but knows it is worth it.

He said: 'Mum is really proud of me, my friends all call me a jammy b **** r and I even think my 17-year-old sister is chuffed - though she'd never tell me.'

Tune into ITV1 at 8.30pm on New Year's Eve to see Sam's Corrie debut.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day episodes look really good this year.

The Karen trailer just aired, WOW!

Yes ive seen the trailer now, it looks good. I felt really sorry for Karen in Monday's episode, some brilliant acting from Suranne Jones too. I cant believe that a week from now Karen/Suranne will have left. The scenes with Cilla/Chesney and Sally were good as well, cant wait to see Sally's face when Cilla turns up at Oakhill!

I read on digital spy that as well as the Harris Family, Sonia, Patrick and now Dev (taking a break), some other chracters might be leaving. These include Sean, Charlie, Ciaran and Penny, but those 4 are not confirmed yet.

Agreed, Suranne's acting has been top standard lately, I wouldn't be surprised if she picked up awards at next year's Soap Awards or other ceremonies. Simon Gregson is also on top form at the moment.

Elsewhere, I feel so sorry for Shelley, I hope the mental torture storyline doesn't descend into physical violence, and great to see the return of Susie Blake as Bev. And it has to be said, the Baldwin boys REALLY irritate me at the moment, it's near impossible to work out what they are saying.

I hope in terms of the ratings, Corrie wins the battle of the soaps over Christmas, with the trailers and with great stories at the moment.

I'd heard about Sonia and Patrick before - not really a great loss as they've only got minor parts anyway... the same with Penny.

As for Charlie, I get the feeling that he's one of those characters like Richard Hillman or Maya who's brought in for one big, dramatic storyline only. I'd already assumed he'd go once the storyline with Shelley reaches its climax, so no surprise there.

As for Ciaran - well he doesn't really do much does he, other than provide fantasies for middle-aged women.

I'd be surprised if they got rid of Sean so quickly though as he already seems to be quite popular and fits in quite well (whether you like him or not).
