I am a gay man, but you would not know that if you met me. Like the vast majority, I do not lisp or behave in an effeminate manner. This is not a deliberate act to try to appear straight, it is just my natural demeanour. The fact that I like repairing cars and mechanical things, and can't abide Barbra Streisand or Judy Garland, does not mean I am not gay! Oh, and I don't sing "I Will Survive" either!

Im a gay man too but no one has ever realised by just meeting me that im gay. People just "assume" im straight and I just think WHY assume when you dont know?????

However there are a lot of camp gay men in the world like Sean so its realistic for Corrie to have one.

Was the idea Sean was meant to be with Todd, but then the actor who plays Todd left?

If I am assuming correctly, the Barlow's house is a two-up two-down, then can someone explain please the bedroom arrangement with Liz, Blanche, Tracy and Amy all living there together?
IF there are two bedrooms upstairs then one is for Ken & Deirdre, and one for Blanche (who would never share her room with anybody surely!). That leaves the front room downstairs to turn into a bedroom for Tracy and Amy.
So where was Liz sleeping?

Agreed, but the majority of us are not, so wouldn't it be nice to have some non-camp gays to redress the balance, and avoid all the breeders thinking we're mincers?

I get your point - but it's just a character - and more of a comedy character than a serious character - kind of the anti-Karl and Todd. Also note that not every Northern couple is like Jack and Vera, and not every teenage girl gets pregnant at 13, has a serial killer for a step-dad and then sleeps with her gay fiancees brother.

Agreed again, but in the case of the others you mention there are balancing characters. At the moment we only have one gay character, and he is such a stereotype it's embarrassing.

Oh yes, and I still want to do very disgraceful things with Jason!!

Quite frankly I would sooner have a character like Sean than old Todd ("Things are going round and round in me head") Grimshaw, or that predatory arrogant Karl.

Did you all see "The Kids from Coronation Street" last night on ITV1.

Some good clips and interesting to know how those people who's characters changed heads are now getting on. I can't believe her who used to play Sarah Lou is now working in Greggs!.

Also that Warren Jackson should be brought back, I'm sure he'd be an improvement on Adam Rickett. Plus at least then there would be one Warren on Coronation Street who could act and talks in a clear fashion!

Try is upstairs and Blanche is downstairs in the living room like Albert years ago.

It was great to see "The Kids from Coronation Street" the other night on ITV1.

Deidre was featured talking about her original daughter "Tracy"
Whilst talking to the tv, Anne Kirkbride kept showing off her massive mole living on her front.

I have cunningly removed Deidre's mole from the above photo and therefore announce the beginning of the SPOT DEIDRE'S MOLE CONTEST

Please post your suggestions to where you think the mole actually resides. The result will be announced next week.

Good programme - obviously intended as a Coronation St Secrets episode though.

Didn't realise Sam Aston starred in THAT advert, or the original Sarah-Lou died. Also congratulations to Warren on getting the part before he was born. Out of the replacements, Tina and Jack (Sarah / David) are the only ones better than the originals IMO.

Disapointing however on the focus on the likes of the McDonald twins, Fiz, Maria, Candice etc who I wouldn't really have classified as debuting on the street as kids!

Dawn Acton is still Tracy Barlow to me. Anne (Deirdre) still admits she misses her.

I wonder what the off-screen relationship with Anne and Kate Ford is like? Wink

How amazing was last Wednesday's Corrie! OMG! What a blast! Get it!!! It was fantastic, then Maya crashed into the house, and was bulldosed by the truck, absoultly brilliant. keep it up Granada. I'd rather watch Corrie than Ender's anyday!
