As requested, a new thread for discussion of Coronation Street.
I think Rita did the right thing tonight, she may have been foolish with that outburst but why should she shut up and take what they throw at her when she is innocent.

Does anyone read soaps-r-us stuff for Corrie?
Rita got found guilty, she went back into court with Norris to apolgise for her behaviour but she didn't and she was put into custody for the night, meaning that she has to spend one night in the cells. While Cilla and Les go and celebrate, they start to annoy Ken and Deidre and make many people leave the Rovers.
Good episode tonight, you just feel like punching that Cilla, I have to say that the prison guard was very unsympathetic, as he kept insisting of making Rita a cup of tea.
I thought that todays episode on Granada Plus was very good too, I can't wait to see what happens with the whole Derek and Cllr Potts issue as it looks very funny.
well as we've had to move thread coz someone couldn't get their mind around only going straight to the penultimate page.....
Any one have a view on this (possibly true according to Teletext) news that the "chirpy cockney" Bradly Walsh is going to be signed up as Mike's long lost nephew?
The idea of Bradley Walsh in Corrie sounds pretty awful to be honest, I don't see how much of an actor he is, as he was a footballer, he did present Wheel Of Fortune, annoyingly. I never saw him in Night and Day, but I thought he was good in Mike Bassett England Manager, but that was a comedy film though.

Dreadful idea.
Apparantly he is, but as Ian Hyland put it, he's only going to be making a small appearance and not "carrying the whole show like Alfie Moon on EastEnders"
Norris had some funny lines tonight, as did Harry Flagg
I do hope it is a small appearance, I may be able to avoid those episodes. Not sure what it is about the guy but there is no one else on TV I dislike more! Jim Davison perhaps, no Walsh is worse.
More needs to be made of some of the existing characters, some go years without a storyline, without bringing in new people
all
the time.

Peter Kaye was inspired but Bradley Walsh seems to be Corrie jumping on the Shane RIchie bandwagon.
I dont see what everyone else sees in Shane Richie - he cant act, he cant wear leather trousers properly and hes not blessed in the looks department!
Oh no, please not Bradley Walsh! He's one of those people who just seems to be inexplicably famous.
I'm sure his career has only been kept alive because he always seems to be the guest on Des O' Connor Tonight / Des & Mel... usually on after Jethro and before Joe Pasquale.
PS. Thanks Moz for starting the new thread after my suggestion in the old thread.
