I didnt think the Tyrone and Alina 'kiss' looked convincing at all. At least if you are going to use a stunt double make it look realistic!

I also cant stand the storyline either. Is that all they can come up with yet another married couple being torn apart by an affair. Also Ronnie Bailey possibly being the real dad of one his brothers kids - again hardly original and could see this storyline coming a mile away.

Corrie needs to improve fast, its very tedious at the moment. Even the comedy with Sally trying to take over organising Abby's wedding and Tim wanting to be best man wasn't that great. And I normally love Sally and Tim.

You can tell that's not Alina's actress. Her stand in has a blonde highlight that she doesn't have.

It looked realistic to me, and I didn't give it a second thought until I read the story about it afterwards. Of course if you paused it and looked carefully at it for five minutes, but as a quick few seconds, nobody will have realised it wasn't Tyrone and Alina

It wasnt the fact that they may or may not have looked like Tyrone and Alina, it looked very bad the way they cut back to the actors after the kiss, very amateurish I thought.

I agree. It looked fake and was pretty bad.

Neighbours has done so much better with the distancing, etc.

I agree that Coronation Street isn't good quality acting or stories at all these days in general.

I imagine the soaps are begging for an end to social distancing.

I agree either make it realistic or don't bother. The point could have been made if she had just told Tyrone she fancied him/had feelings for him and that would have been the 'cliffhanger' for the ad break.

I dont watch EE but have seen some Neighbours recently and dont even notice the social distancing although that could be because things are different over there - im not sure but they might not even have had to stop filming even though Channel 5 reduced the episodes over here for a time.

Wasn't it Tyrone they had the double for (you can clearly tell that isn't him), not Alina. In the video clip it was always Tyrone being replaced.

They replaced both, as they need a married couple or similar who are part of the same household or support bubble.

To be fair that isn't a shot that was used in the episode as broadcast. They may have touched the hair up in the edit or it was less obvious from the other angle.

Was on the BBC live feed earlier that William Roache has been off work because he tested positive for coronavirus. At his age he must have had his first jab, and quite likely his second too, so hopefully he's not been too ill from it.

If he's had both jabs then it's incredibly unlikely that he'd fall ill from COVID. I think he's probably only had the first dose. Him being off ill was on the front page of today's Sun, and they were suggesting he might never come back. I'm not surprised they spoke out to put an end to this scaremongering. Bill could easily last another decade yet.
