Has Ken really left the retirement village after all the build up about him "leaving the street"? Seems to have been very short lived after all the attention it was given, I'm guessing he'll be back there soon.

Has the 'hospital set' been used recently? He might have a booking in there when 'post-lockdown' filming begins.

Although I saw a click bait story this week about “Ken to make shock exit” - once you’d click through of course you found out he was exiting Stillwaters.

Stillwaters was ok for a short storyline for Ken. However I wish the press would stop exaggerating first of all saying Ken was leaving the show when he moved to Stillwaters when he was actually staying in the show but taking a reduced role (so we were told at the time). Now making out he is leaving the show again!

Also I've seen various articles in recent weeks with various cast members saying Corrie will run out of episodes soon. The latest one is saying Corrie could go off air for the first time in 60 years - if that happened it would be incorrect as we know Corrie was off air in 1979 for several months. If they run out of episodes then they run out. If they aren't able to return to filming in June then id imagine they would reduce to 2 episodes a week to keep it going a bit longer.

Was obvious from the moment he left during the 10,000th episode that he wouldn't leave for long. Corrie doesn't do change that well.

That said it would be good for them to use Ken as a positive example of older people living an independent life. The retirement village wasn't that, but taking him out of Number 1 and into a new location living independently with Claudia would not be a bad idea at all. Sadly suspect he'll end up as Tracy's lodger.

They made it sound like it would be Rita leaving in the 10,000th episode. Then it was revealed as Ken but he didn't actually 'leave' until several episodes later.

They should have kept him in Stillwaters. He could still appear in the Rovers, visiting his many family members. I agree it is likely he will end up permanently back at number 1, sleeping in the front room like Uncle Albert in his later years.

Must admit though the Barlow / McDonald dynamic now at number 1 is an enjoyable watch.

Is that it for Claudia then?

The press are doing what they usually do, latching on to half a sentence and then running a story on it.

Like you say, if they run out, they will run out, if they don't then they won't

There was an ad for Coronation Street during Kate & Koji that said (both text and VOI) "Monday 7.30pm" even though the next episode is on Friday. Could it have been put together so long ago when the episode was expected to air on a Monday? Or was the wrong ad played, given that the events depicted seem to be a way off, given the synopses for upcoming episodes?

No, the storyline depicted comes to a head from Monday, so its right.

Yes they always do that and it annoys me especially when half the time there are errors. Like not saying Corrie went off air for (3 months?) in 1979.
