Well, well, well. So coming to a newsagents near you soon its the Coronation Street Magazine.
Take a look at MediaGuardian:
http://media.guardian.co.uk/broadcast/story/0,7493,1031964,00.html

Whatever next? Corrie Boxers with the three flying ducks of the left leg?
So do we think the mag is good idea? I'm sure it would be nice when its out.

I think the idea of a mag dedicated to Corrie is great! I hope they do a montly magazine - there used to be one in 1999 but it stopped, I used to get it every issue and enjoyed reading it as it was dedicated just to Corrie.

And at least by having a Corrie mag we are guranteed Corrie stars on the covers - I am disgusted with Inside Soap for choosing that slater woman over Peter Barlow for the first weekly issue. I couldnt believe my eyes when it arrived in my mail this morning. Shocked

Also the new look Inside Soap is just a poor rip off for one of the other TV Mags - and it cost a £ so is much more expensive than TV Choice/Whats on TV etc - hell even the Radio Times is cheaper. I might not renew my subscription when it expires in November esp if they arnt going to get it to me by Saturday as that was the only reason I subscribed in the first place.

I thought subscription people get a 10% discount or something? Is it still not worth it even with a discount?

Yes you get a discount - I forget how much it is but it works out that you get about 3 issues free per year or something like that.

I suppose it is worth renewing the subscription if I am going to buy it regualar but if they dont improve on Corrie covers I may not bother. I am sick of seeing EE issue after issue - they had the cover last time too. Emmerdale got the cover the time before that but Corrie havent had a proper cover to themselves since July!

And the TV listing suck - they are more like the crappy magazines you get free in the Sunday papers listings than TV Choice and they only have proper listings for the London region - this is useless for me, I want details on what ITV1 Wales are showing - and their local programs etc.

Anyway getting back to Corrie and the main article this week was Peter Barlow - apparently he is upset when he finds out Lucy is back with her ex boyfriend and he is acting as more of a father figure to baby Simon than Peter is.

Well according to my tv listings magazine the first Coronation Street Secrets will be shown on ITV2 on Friday 12th September at 8pm (after that nights Corrie on ITV1 so no doubt there will be an ECP for it!

The first edition will look back at the past and present barmaids who have been on the show.

Bloddy Sky Magazine said the 24th!!! Christ, last time I'll be reading that tat again!

Yes - Inside soap is not much in its new look. The tv listings are poor, I bet helf of them are wrong! The regional variations for wed and thurs are the same, but its thurs that are correct so on Wed I have no clue whats on around the regions! I think the mag should go back to its old Format.

Are they 2 versions of inside soap around the uk? Its just that the regional variations only have a few regions? Border, Grampian, westcountry etc are missing.

I thought it was good tonight when Les told Mick that he was "yesterday's man". Les was very smug and he has good reason!

And what was all that business with Nick about, he just walks into the kitchen and Gail goes through her whole range of emotions (in a good way not a Tracy Preston overacting way) in a split second.

Slightly off topic but wasn't tonight's Emmerdale good.

First Cain told the entire village that 'he'd had' Charity, accompanied by gasps of shock from Betty, Edna etc. A pitty Mrs Hope is on holiday

Then Cain pulled Chris Tate out of his wheel'chur' and later Shadrach was knocked down by hit and run driver , in probably one of the best example of a stunt I've seen on soaps for a while, sometimes stunts look like they have hardly touched the car or have walked in to it.

Emmerdale is definally on the up at the mo, and is of course Must See/Lust See TV!

Inside Soap listings are really poor - they only give really small regional variations and like you said dont include half the regions! It is useless when it comes to details of the programs shown in your region unless you live in London.

I am glad there is a new corrie mag coming out - although I heard this special Xmas issue will cost £5 - thats a bit steep for a mag but apparently there is a DVD with it.
I hope they make the mag monthly - they would have to lower the price though.

Yep, Emmerdale really is on form. The writing is excellent and I love some of the older characters, there is some very good humour in there. Not sure how this Charity, Chris, Cain thing is going to end, but it's making for good viewing. With Chris a dying man, with nothing to lose means they can do more or less anything with the character.

I'll be glad when this storyline in Emmerdale comes to an end - ive not been watching it as much lately due to one thing or another but I saw it a couple of times this week and god this terminal illness storyline with Chris Tate is depressing.

I do like the Charity/Cain/Chris triangle though. I think it is coming to an end soon but I dont know how.

I still think Corrie is miles better than Emmerdale - Corrie has always been my no 1 tv show!
