I personally find it liberating.

Ab-so-lutely.

After the fifth time there's nothing else for it.

Corrie's Little Shop of Horror

The article says the wrecked shop in the pic is The Kabin, but it looks more like Dev's shop to me. Unless Norris
decides to start selling Colman's Mustard and loo rolls among the newspapers and sherbert dips before then!

Definitely Dev's shop. One of these a newspaper might actually report things accurately...

To be fair to the article it does say the Corner Shop in the article but then goes on to talk about the Kabin.

Also, why do people just stand there when someone slowly pours a drink over them? ... I suppose the question should be why do script writers write cliched, unrealistic scenes like this so often?

In real life, they'd probably get glassed. Or is that just round my way :lol

thanks for the photos, typical sun not checking their own stories, I wouldn't be surprised if people think the falling train flatens the launderette, minute-mart and Kathy's café the amount of attention they pay to things Rolling Eyes

Just watched the Corrie DVD, it was a weird one, quite boring too, it started off hopeful but then...it just drifted off

Oh...and it showed a Harvey's truck at one point...and you could just make out "Sponsors of Coronation Street" on the side xD

Judging by the pictures so far, its looks like the tram is of the original 1992 design, but with the new Metrolink livery
currently only (as far as I'm aware) on the new 2009 models. I'm certain Stagecoach Metrolink have not yet made a
start on putting the new colours on the old trams. It would have been better, I think, if the tram used in the Corrie
crash had the old livery. Other than a few other very minor inconsistencies, that's my only bugbear with it.

Although there certainly isn't a tram numbered 1030. There were only 26 LRVs in the original 1000 series batch.

No.13 exploding as Lloyd opens the door

Ok ... so something as yet unknown, possibly a gas blast, causes The Joinery bar to go bang, resulting in the tram veering off the viaduct, destroying Dev's shop, but what the blinking flip causes the fire and explosion at No. 13?

On the terraced side of the Street, Dev's shop is going to be destroyed, No. 13 gets burned out, how much of the
terrace is going to be damaged? I wonder if the fire at No. 13 spreads to No.11, and perhaps even further down
the Street, potentially causing the structure of other houses on that row to become dangerously unstable?

This could be just the excuse they need to make up for the noticeable physical differences there would be on an
all new outdoor set if there are definite plans to move production of Corrie to MediaCityUK at Salford Quays.

....with Ashley and Claire inside?

I would guess the peacock family are inside, hope they're not killed off though, maybe the accident makes Ashley change his mind and move to France with the family

its invariable that 13 will be damaged in some way, Maybe Ashley and Clare are killed and the boys injured.
Matt ramsden take in Joshua and adopts the orphaned Freddie and leaves with them (probably whilst they're still in intensive care knowing the lack of bureaucratic red tape on soaps)

(that is my fantasy theory so I don't think it needs a spoiler)

that pic of the damaged shop looks like the train has just driven in through the door, if it's falling off the viaduct wouldn't the first floor be in the shop as well Confused

anyway it's all going to look good when it's aired

might be a bit of a continuity glitch if the weather on the live episode is not was it was when they filmed the crash though
