It all gets rather complicated, there've only got a limited places to put it!

Realistically I can see it either being before BGT Final, splitting the performances and results of the BGT Final or after BGT - most likely after I'd say.

It's a soap people, they simply postpone airing the plotline, there's no catchup necessary at all. There's no deadline, just extend the lifetime of the current episodes and then pick up as they record in the future, a few dropped slots won't affect the programme at all.

Can't they just postpone this episode until the next time they're prepared to show it and then just shove the rest up by one or two episodes?

I think that the Saturday 10pm slot would be the most appropriate place for the Friday episode - Wednesday's being transmitted tomorrow, Thursday's on Friday, etc etc. However, it all depends on further developments in the news - we'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

they can't really do that - it's halfway through the storyline - 2 people have alread been kidnappped!

So they extend the time in limbo. I repeat it's a soap.

They've got to wrap it up this week though, as the theme is only for this week. So maybe the last of the week can be a double bill or something.
