Good pic - gives you a better insight of how it is going to take place. Although I thought from what I read, that it would be further up the street. Maybe it will be different etc and be will be moved into the different positions it needs to be in before CGI is applied. Because from that photo the corner shop isn't really destroyed as it's going into the Kabin.

I'm not sure what you mean. It's a replica tram they have bulit for the crash I believe.

Hadn't it been established earlier in the thread that Metrolink had donated one of their 1st-gen LRV's to Granada?

Yeah I do remember reading that. But the Corrie sit does say "This is the moment the replica tram was put in place on the cobbles ready for the filming of the exciting 50th anniversary week episodes."

So isn't made that clear.

Perhaps the tram donated by Metrolink is just being used for some scenes with passengers on board, as it's travelling through the city before the accident. Just a thought.

I don't know where the rumour came from. I'm sure they'll be using one for filming some scenes but I doubt they were ever intending to throw a real tram off the bridge. There are no trams too old or beyond repair and I can confirm there is nothing wrong with 1001 as it's in regular service.

I just noticed the second carriage beside the Corner Shop

I think what they will do how they corner shop is demolished is to put boards round the space to continue filming, then then can just remove the boards for the live episode

interesting on the aerial pics the back and side of the corner shop is intact because the stairs to the top floor of the terrace is there so they will still be able to access upstairs

They really need to axe John Stape. Dreadful episodes tonight. Fiz is fine when it's about the factory, but I don't think she's good enough to pull off her own storylines.

They were so obviously doing it on purpose - after about the 8th time it became a bit unfunny!
