I read somewhere they will only be a few weeks behind in terms of filming come January so they may not be filming February episodes in early December! If its going to take 10 weeks to film just that week of eps for December then they are going to fall behind in terms of filming in advance.

The word is in the new year they will be two weeks ahead - but I reckon they will be doing some location shoots during the tram crash

Are the Peacocks leaving before the tram crash ?

I reckon the characters that will die in the crash are Molly, Janice and Jim McDonald.

Characters seen arriving at the late-night filming included Peter Barlow, founder of The Joinery, played by Chris Gascoyne, as well as Julie Carp (played by Katy Cavanagh), Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh), Ken Barlow (William Roache), Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), Carla Connor (Slison King) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

Steve’s dad, Jim, played by Charlie Wilson , who will return to the Street for first time since last year, was also seen arriving at the shoot

lol, typical Daily Fail

Good pictures though, but they seem to have missed the fact that on the fly over the viaduct is still standing and there is no tram lol

Confused

I've never heard the Manchester Evening News referred to as that before.

Thought I'd post the photo on here Very Happy Even without the special effects put on yet, it already looks great & 10x bigger than the factory explosion earlier this year.

So based on the last one - the corner shop/Kabin are not destroyed yet. So either it will be CGI or most likley, it willl be being destroyed later, doing filming in parts. Confusing becuase as previoulsy said the Live episode will make it harder.

Thought this bit was intresting from the article aswell

Programme makers have confirmed that the tram stunt will be “one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive” scene since Coronation was first broadcast on December 9, 1960, but said an earlier reported figure of £1m for the scene was wrong.
someone talking sense for once - instead of made up figures!

As I've never watched Corrie (although I did enjoy the BBC Four drama about the starting of it) can someone explain how a tram crashing (a tram which uses over head power lines) could cause an explosion that massive?

Does it land on a characters secret petrol smuggling lock-up storage facility, or something?
