It's a disgrace that this isn't on ITV. Would have been perfect to celebrate the 50th.

Was it not suppose to be on ITV orginally? It would have been nice to see it on ITV in the big anniversary week, but i can see why it's on BBC4 - bit more on a niche drama IMO.

I thought it was great btw ! Very Happy

It's made by ITV Studios and I don't think it's impossible that it might make its way to ITV

The online game sounds fun though, it sounds like they're making a real effort to try and interest younger audiences

Bloody amazing BBC Four drama. Loved it. Will it be out on DVD?
As for tonights episode, I hope Kylie settles down soon. Don't think I'll be able to cope with her antics for long Laughing

The drama was phenomenally good, I can't think of a more sincere and heartfelt tribute.

What really got me was seeing pictures of the original people alongside the credits. Ena... Elsie... Annie... Ken... had to hold back tears as soon as I saw that hairnet.

Wonderful stuff and, of course, brilliantly written.

An exceptional drama.

Superb acting, superb attention to detail.

The actor who played Tony Warren had a stand-out performance.

After watching the brilliant 'The Road to Coronation Street', I found the first episode of Corrie on YouTube:

Yeah I knew that - I just meant that it was suppose to origainally suppose to be on ITV.

Also I believe "As the World Turns" last episode airs in the US tonight - which therefore makes Coronation Street the world's longest currently-running scripted TV programme. Very Happy I wonder if the programme was shown today to conicide with that?
But can anyone think of a shorter way to put that for the thread description? Laughing

It was made by ITV Studios (Granada TV I assume) - Granada/ITV have made a few progs for the BBC.

Yeah, Granada is just known as ITV Studios now, shame

Tonights Corrie was good, the camera angles were quite different

Just watched our recording from BBC HD. I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Even though I obviously knew what happened in the end, I still felt myself pleading with the execs to get it commissioned!
