that comes as no surprise, just catch up on Iplayer or ITV player, they have made the unmissable unmissable on both channels so why make such and effort to clash programmes when we don't have to miss one to watch the other any more

Because they pay a massive premium for the privilege?

I wouldn't let it bother you so much.

There's also another set tour tommorow for 'Coronation Travel'

I heard next week the tramway near Granada studio is closed from 9pm to 7am on Mon, Tue and Weds due to alternate use, it's been speculated Corrie might be filming some tram scenes, at least that's what I heard

Tramway? I think you mean the part of the Metrolink line to Altrincham that goes between G-Mex and Cornbrook.

"Tramway" will do for those of us unfamiliar with the intricacies of Manchester's transport system, surely?

I don't expect you guys to know where the number 22 bus goes in Edinburgh.

Aye, you guys can't expect me to know the lingo :p we have trams that go down the front here in B'pool and we call that the tramway Razz

Well, it's a bit more than a tramway after all. There is an old style tramway that goes through part of Heaton Park
in Prestwich, but that's beside the point. Cornbrook station and the approach to it, goes over viaducts similar in
height to the one on the Corrie set that's due to be involved in the crash.

It's possible they might be using Cornbrook station as Weatherfield's tram station, and disguising it as such.

Metrolink runs at about 50mph mostly on suburban rail lines formerly owned by BR. Only a small percentage of it
runs on street level tracks through the city centre at about 15mph, and up towards Eccles via Salford Quays.

Blackpool's trams run mostly on street level tracks and is more of a heritage service.

Au contraire, it's that well known route from the Gyle Shopping Centre to Ocean Terminal, via the city centre (West End) Wink

A group of Canadian fans had a tour earlier in the year and about 10 UK fans were able to join them (myself included) only because one of my friends from the Corrie gates is from Canada!

Didn't actually have to pay anything for the tour of the outside set and the Canadians didnt either - apparently Granada orginally said no but they finally agreed and let us go on the set for 15 mins on a Saturday morning - which turned out to be almost 45 mins as David Nugent didnt seem in a rush.

We paid for the Corrie location tour tho which took around the various filming venues in Greater Manchester - think it was around £15 per person and included a tour guide who had lots of stories about Corrie and its history.
