Airing 2 Corrie's on Friday 7.30 and 9.30 may be an option with BGT at 8 and 10.

I guess it depends as well on the content of the episodes, as some scenes may not be suitable to show before the watershed.

I suppose they could record the BGT results and just ensure the phone vote lines finish early.

Aren't all these episodes being repeated during the day on ITV2? I think the 9pm slot is just a marketing thing to tie in with this big story line, HD and BGT.

Does Coronation Street get shown on any other channel tonight? Does one of the Irish channels show it the same evening? What are they showing instead?

Exactly Corrie's only at 9 to separate Britian's got talent show and the results

YBF should be pulled on Saturday, moving BGT back half an hour, therefore allowing Corrie to be placed in between

btw, here is Corrie's statement

Quote:
In light of the tragic events in Cumbria, some changes have been made to Corrie scheduling.

The planned episode of Coronation Street will not be broadcast on Wednesday, 2 June.

We will update you with revised episode dates and times in due course.

TV3's website is still showing Corrie listed at 9pm, however as this is a simulcast from the UK, it obviously won't be shown.

I cant see Corrie being shown on Saturday. Sunday would be more likely if they have a slot they can easily fit it into.

I wonder if ITV will cancel Corrie tomorrow and Friday as well as a few days later is still very soon to be showing this type of material given todays events.

From the statement, it sounds like it will just be todays episodes

ITV's website still shows Coronation Street as being on at 9pm too as it uses data from an external source.

Is it a simulcast? Surely that would be expensive, pointless and prone to technical issues. I would guess that TV3 have the episode stored locally ready to play out. It maybe that their contract says they are not allowed to play it if ITV1 don't for whatever reason or it might be that TV3 decide not to show it anyway for the same reasons that ITV1 have stated.

When was the last Coronation Street was dropped or delayed? I can't remember it ever happening, but it must have happened within the last 50 years.

BTW, if anyone has a series link setup for Coronation Street, it doesn't look like it has updated for tomorrows episode at least not on ITV1 London or Meridian South.

A series link won't kick in until the programme has been broadcasted therefore - it may not pick up the next episode at all, but I wouldn't expect it pick it up until the time that it was due to air has passed (my guess).
