That Mirror story goes on to contradict itself by saying the spokeswoman said Vicky went to see Phil and told him she wanted to quit, and Phil totally understood

Regardless of how she left, it's timing is telling shortly after the arrival of the new producer.

I don't think it's down to Phil, the character was saved in 2006, and then was ignored after that, it seems she just wanted to stay to make the big 50 then leave to do other things

The press seem to want to potray Phil as some sort of axeman, whereas they never said a bad word about Kim Crowther, who is responsible for crap like "Molvin" and responsible for dragging storys out for months, and didn't Kim axe seven characters at once?

The only thing I'm mad at Phil about is the axing of Natasha, who was a great character. But now shes turning into some looney paranoid bunny boiler. Isn't it great when a fab character like Natasha is axed, and then we have to suffer the return of Maria and Samia's woeful moany accent

It will be sad to see Janice go, but she had become somewhat of a spare part

I didn't know Corrie's filming was so far behind, these scenes were filmed in mid-June it seems lol

Yes apparently they are 8 weeks or so behind with filming.

As for Janice going, its a shame as I like the character but she hasnt really had a lot to do over the past few years and has just been a supporting character to other storylines and characters e.g. the factory, Leanne etc.

It's probably they're 8 weeks behind, gives them more time to do things that 4 weeks

I emailed David Nugent about the extension to Victoria Street (couldn't resist lol) and he says work has now been completed

back in the 70s corry was two weeks behind transmition

most soaps are about two months behind so they would be filming october episode now

so if the new set extentions are complete we will have to wait 8 weeks to see them

Two weeks? That would have been hectic, but then there was less episodes back then
