So it wasn't just me then!

I thought it was the first showing of the night credits as someone would have mentioned it on here , if I'd missed it. From what we could see, they were slighty different and the Rover Return sign seemed backwards!

Lol I saw the start then up came the big black box telling me Doc Martin was next, I think it might have been from inside the Rovers...not sure xD

yeah well just had a look at the full night time titles on ITV Player.

I wonder if there is different opening titles for night episodes?

They need to do a Casualty and bring back the old music..

The break music and end music are both terrible. I don't think it's a case of getting used to it - they're just bad.

Last nights eps were good - Rita stroking the rug and Norris in the backyard!

I hardly notice the new music at all any more lol, but I do think the old music will be back :p

I really liked yesterdays episodes, a lot better than expected

I did enjoy Friday's episodes too. Loved the 'cameos' from Norris and then Rita.

It looks and feels a bit better that way. I wouldn't mind, but the newly-recorded versions are far from perfect. The original 'long' theme, in all it's two-minute glory, is spine-chillingly beautiful - the new theme lacks the beauty, perfection and essential nostalgia that the original versions held.

And watching those mock credits at the end of the YouTube video, I rather miss the old scrolling credits with the classic rooftops in the background - I can't tell you how much I detest the current end credit system on ITV1 with useless junk taking up 80% of the screen. Even the other ECP with the credits on the left and the images of the Street set behind them, would be nicer than the crappy one ITV1 SD viewers have to endure...

I wouldn't have thought so - they have had night episodes before and never used different opening credits but did have night closing credits.

I sure I read that they were going to introduce different versions over time. Theres been nighitme episodes before without the new nightime credits. So mabye in a coupl of months we'll se some?

In the old credits, when episodes began at night they sometimes replaced the end shot of the Rovers with the tram (I remember in the episode Kasia fell down the stairs in Underworld, it was replaced by a view from the corner shop side, with a milk float delivering milk), so maybe they actually added a night time set this time around

Yes the end shot not the entire credits - they have replaced the end shot where necessary right back to 1960s!

I heard we have a new Corrie DVD on the way, starring Reg & Curly, they were quoted in the Sun about it
