Wow! I didn't know it was used so widely! I've always wondered if they've had trouble shooting things like this in US shows...I had no idea it was all greenscreened

It's pretty amazing isn't it? Smile

Have a wee look at the website of this effects house, and you'll see plenty of other examples.

Can't believe anything you see these days!

I'll do just that, it's amazing what they can do nowadays

Hopefully if they greenscreen it then, we will see Jubilee Street on't other side of the viaduct Laughing

Have a look at Show Demos - the last season of 24 was set in New York - and none of it was shot there.

Greys Anatomy is probably the more "realistic" example - not having quite so many explosions and such. And the added bonus is my pal Kevin is in the show.

Woo! etc.

It's amazing how special effects are used to create 'normal' scenes. Every bit as stunning as an exploding building, but never noticed!

The factory hostage story was a huge let down, not helped by the Cumbria shootings of course, but it was still a big disappointment. Tony Gordon will be quickly forgotten in my view. They exaggerated how much the scenes cost as well. Looking forward to the anniversary - I'd love to see another live episode Sad. They should axe Hayley and Roy.

No. A teenage Chris Chittell who plays Eric Pollard in Emmerdale is there though.

If they were moving sets, they could use this tram crash to cover it up (rebuilding a few places)

I thought ITV had announced an expansion to the external set of Coronation Street in its current location. That doesn't signal any imminent move down the road to MediaCity to me.

Noooooooooo! Hayley and Roy should never go, they have to be one of my favourite couples on the street. I am also really looking forward to the news that Hayley will become Mad Mary's next victim! I really hated Mary when she was fist introduced, now the tables have turned! I love her! I especially found the scenes where she kidnapped Norris very comical!!

That's correct. And when I was speaking with David Nugent in May he said they wont be moving to MediaCity for at least 2 years as they have spent a lot of money on the current set for the HD and also want to expand it past Victoria Court.

I'm kinda glad it isnt moving, good to hear the set is extending though, I wonder if they will add any more to the street post-disaster?

I'm waiting for Nick Harvey to come along and post a pic of a 125![/quote:0302226052]

Perhaps we should pension off the 125 picture and start using the one of 1001 instead! Laughing
