Kudos to Corrie for working in a Willow reference, with Eva calling Sarah "Peck" in reference to her (lack of) height.

Lost on the subtitlers, though, who had it down as "pet"...

Eva also called Sarah a dwarf! That's probably offensive to real little people.

Yes, I hear that not abiding by the 4ft 10in rule is most offensive to people with dwarfism.

Or, perhaps, it would be equally offensive whether or not Sarah-Louise/Tina O'Brien were a dwarf.

Kate Oates has been appointed as new producer for Coronation Street. Hollyoaks Iain MacLeod will become the new Emmerdale Producer. Stuart Blackburn moves to other ITV Studios drama projects.

This is good news. Corrie has not been at its best under Blackburn. Oates has done some great work at Emmerdale.

Oh dear no.

That means deaths every other week...

I have to agree - I've found lots of stories tedious and characters uninteresting under Blackburn. It's a shame they keep just grabbing Emmerdale producers rather than going elsewhere.

I agree in terms of Producers from Emmerdale. It is almost as if they go to Emmerdale after being involved in a mimor role on Coronation Street then after a few years as Producer of Emmerdale they get a promotion and go to Coronation Street before other dramas on ITV. It could be part of a career path especially as ITV as One Big Happy Family as opposed to being regional rivals in the golden days.

IT would be good to have someone who has produced dramas that comes in and see if it gives a different edge.

When Steve and Lloyd were locked in the basement, did anyone else notice the junction box with live cables sticking out of it?

Anyone else starting to wonder if Jersey has chucked a few quid in Corrie's direction? Probably a bit too overt to be allowable as product placement (although they have made it a plot point), but they do keep banging on about how lovely it is. Which is true.

An old face from the past could also re-appear in Jersey, Billy Walker played by Kenneth Farrington; last seen in 1984 and Jersey was where he lived.

Do we know a list of who is supposed to appear tomorrow night? I believe Bill Roache is going to be in it but I hope we see Barbara Knox and Eileen Derbyshire. I am wondering about what will happen to Steve MacDonald as Simon Gregson is off ill?

Newspaper reports said he wasn't due to be in the live episode anyway.

Apologies that is my error; I didn't realise he wasn't due to appear.

I must say the direction of the programme in the run-up to this live episode has been fantastic. I always enjoy Coronation Street anyway as most people probably know; but I am excited about this episode tomorrow night. I thought the last one was good but I still a story with plenty of scenes will be better than the result of the crash like we had last time.
