I would have put this in the Emmerdale thread, but there is no point digging up a rotting corpse from 2014, which is all I could find under the search function . . .

I'd like to be employed as a taxi driver in 'Soap Land', as they are always ordered at LEAST 30 minutes before they are required by the departing character, and the meter ticks away endlessly whilst many hugs/tears are exchanged.

Apparently, there isn't any imperative to catch forward transport such as a flight/train/ferry.

It's easy money for a cabbie, and seems to take place quite regularly. Very Happy
