Gone a bit quiet on here

What an insightful post.

Speaking of outdoor locations, the Crown Court looked more like a school to me, but I've only seen two crown courts in my life and they might have skewed my judgement.

It has certainly changed in the last few years

They used Bradford City Hall a few years back as the crown court as well.

According to a blog post I've just read, the latest Weatherfield Crown Court was Victoria Baths at Chorlton-on-Medlock in Manchester.

It probably reminds me of a school as I went to an Edwardian-style school for 4 years.

Bolton Central Library - wasn't that used for Jim's court after the failed bank robbery - which coincidentally was filmed opposite the library in what was then empty closed Barclays branch (but is now the home of Bolton News)?

St George's Hall or the Walker Art Gallery or another similar building in that part of Liverpool was used a few years ago for some court scene involving Gail and possibly Joe McIntyre.

Yep it was the Victoria Baths which is just off Upper Brook Street (Hathersage Road I think) between Rusholme and Longsight,

Jenny Bradley returning to Coronation Street. Does anyone recall the circumstances of her previous brief comeback in 1993 ?

Can't say I'm very excited about the news. Always found her a bit of a whiney pain in the backside.

That's a turn up for the books. I wonder what the development company that now owns the Old Granada Studios site (Allied London) thinks of this, and how will this affect their plans to ultimately tear down the old Corrie set and defunct studios for redevelopment?

I don't think they will be too bothered at moment as they are currently building a new office block in Spinningfields (basically across the road from Granada) and they are currently demolishing another old office block in Spinningfields and I will be moving out of my current office (Astley House - also home to the old Sports Café) next Thursday to a new office in the Piccadilly area as Allied London will be demolishing it and rebuild a new office block - plus they are currently renting some of the old office block on temporary basis such as a new coffee shop at the Granada reception! So whilst they are making money, from the OGS, while the other building work is taking place, they will be happy!
